    教学难点:Students can share your thoughts about whether you would like to be an astronaut with supportive reasons.教学过程Step I: Pre-Listening (5 m)Activity One: Students watch a short video about the universe. Q 1  What can you see in the video?Q 2  What do you think of space?Q 3  Who can explore the space?( Students are asked to think about the questions to introduce the topic of astronauts)Activity Two: Students talk about the famous astronauts from China and abroad.Q 4: So do you know the requirements for becoming an astronaut?Step II: Listening (30m)T: Lets listen to an interview with an astronaut and find out the requirements for becoming an astronaut.   Activity Three: Listen to an interview with an astronaut and tick the correct statements.1 The audience is curious about how Yang Liwei became the first Chinese astronaut.2 Mr Yang always believed that he would become an astronaut one day.3 Mr Yang was selected to attend pilot training with 13 other people.4 To become an astronaut in China, you have to have 1, 350 hours of flying experience.5 Astronauts not only had to learn how to use space equipment, but also had to do a lot of mental and physical training.(Before listening, teacher explains the new words in bold in English and lets the students to pay attention to the key words in each sentence. )T: So do you think it is easy to be an astronaut? Why? Which sentence can support your idea?SS: Numbers. Lets find more numbers. Activity Four: Listen again and fill in the blanks with the correct numbers.1 Yang Liwei graduated from college at the age of____________  .2 Before he joined China's space programme, Mr Yang trained as a fighter pilot for ____ years.3 Mr Yang was one of the____________ pilots who were chosen to train for space flights.4 At the time when Mr Yang entered the space programme, astronauts had to be shorter than ______ cm in height and less than _______ kg in weight.5 Mr Yang became China's first astronaut when he was ________ years old.(Possible answers: 22; 10; 14; 172; 70; 38)T: So is it easy to be an astronaut?Activity Five: Listen to the interview again and make a list of the requirements for becoming an astronaut.AspectRequirementsEducation background: Experience: Health condition: Courses:  Special training: (Possible answer: College degree; more than 1000 hours of flight experience; in perfect health and shape; English, science and astronomy; mental and physical training)Activity Six: Summarize what kind of person an astronaut must be according to the list of requirements. So do you want to be an astronaut? Step III: Post-listening (5m)Activity Seven: Discussion    Students discuss in groups of four and discuss about the question: Would you like to be an astronaut. Why ?  反思:本堂课是本单元的第一节课,课型为听说课,听说课的常见模式为PWP,即听前激发话题相关词汇和知识,听中训练听力技巧,听后应用所听内容进行语言输出。本堂课中,教师通过让学生思考著名的宇航员及他们的成就激发对相关话题的知识,再通过预测来引出宇航员的挑选要求。接着,进行听力训练,听力训练中包括了三个主要活动,从判断正误,到填写数字,到记录宇航员的要求,对听力能力的要求层层递进,对内容的分析要求也层层深入。活动具有一定的层次性,考虑到了不同层次学生的需求。此外,在听力过程中渗透了对听数字这一听力技巧的训练。教学效果良好,有80%的学生能完成课堂任务。本课堂中的不足之处在于以下三点:最后一个讨论环节,还是有20%左右学生不知所云,因此教师在指导学生进行语言输出时,可以给出更加具体的指导建议,如给出一个具体的例子,让学生结合身边的例子,更有利于学生的输出。教师应该充分考虑到英语基础薄弱的学生,在讲授新词汇或陌生词汇时把语速降下来,以达到精准教学的目的。 教师的提问范围还可以更广泛一些,中低端学生更需要教师的鼓励和参与课堂。
