    Section B (3a—Self Check) 5课时

    设计说明

    通过谈论自己的幸运日和不幸运的日子激起学生的兴趣,从而导入新课。复习回顾本单元的新学语法过去完成时,进一步明确这一时态的含义和用法。书面表达环节旨在练习本单元的语法和所学句型,提升学生书面表达的能力。Self Check部分以语篇理解的形式提升学生在具体的语言环境中运用词汇的能力。课堂的最后,通过当堂达标检测,对本课时所学和本单元的重点知识进行自我检查。

    教学目标

    通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    复习本单元的重点单词、短语、句型和语法。

    2.能力目标

    (1)能够灵活运用过去完成时态进行语言表达;

    (2)写一篇短文来描述日常生活中的一次难忘的经历。

    3.情感目标

    通过回顾过去的经历,提升自己规划生活的能力。

    Step 2 Grammar revision

    过去完成时

    过去完成时的结构            主语+had + p.p.+其他.

    过去完成时的否定形式        主语+had not + p.p.+其他.

    过去完成时的疑问形式        Had+主语+p.p.+其他?

    对比:一般过去时、现在完成时与过去完成时

    1. 一般过去时表示在过去某时发生的动作或存在的状态。

    We started to learn English 5 years ago.

    我们五年前开始学英语。

    2. 现在完成时表示的动作发生在过去,但侧重强调该动作对现在产生的结果或造成的影响,不强调动作发生的时间。其结构为:助动词 havehas+过去分词

    We have learned English for 5 years.

    我们已经学了五年的英语了。

    3. 过去完成时表示在过去某个时间或动作之前已经发生或完成了的动作或存在的状态,即过去的过去(past-in-the-past

    We had learned English four years by last year. 

    到去年为止,我们已经学英语四年了。

    过去完成时的判断依据:

    过去完成时表示过去的过去,先发生的动作用过去完成时,后发生的动

    作用一般过去时。

    Step 3 Practice

    1. Tell the students to think of a lucky or an unlucky day. What happened on that day?

    2. Let the students to make some notes about what they remember.

    What was the date?

     

    What happened first?

     

    Was this lucky or unlucky? Why?

     

    What happened next?

     

    How did the day end?

     

    How did you feel about this day?

     

    Step 4 Writing

    1. Ask the students to decide what they will write, a lucky day or an unlucky day.

    2. Get them to learn the following sentence structures.

    My lucky/unlucky day

    I will always remember the date…

    This was the luckiest /unluckiest day of my life…

    When I woke up that morning…

    Later that day,…

    I couldn’t believe…

    Then/After that,…

    Finally,…

    I think….

    What a lucky/an unlucky day!

    3. Give some tips about how to write the story.

    4. Show an example to the students.

    My lucky day

    I will always remember the date—April Fool’s Day last year. This was the luckiest day of my life.

    When I woke up that morning, I brushed my teeth, washed my face, then I read English for half an hour. It was time to eat my breakfast. My little brother gave me a piece of pie. I was very glad to eat it first. Then I felt strange. It tasted special. What was it? I looked at my little brother. He laughed loudly and said nothing.

    Later that day, I knew he put toothpaste (牙膏) into the pie. I couldn’t believe I was fooled by him. I brushed my teeth again. After that, my brother gave me a box of pie, and said “Happy April Fool’s Day!”

    Finally I was happy to get the delicious pie.

    I think I had a happy and lucky day.

    What a lucky day!

    5. Show some sample writings of the students.

       I will always remember the date February 28, 2014. This was the luckiest day of my life.

       When I woke up that morning, the sky was very dark. I took the early bus to school as usual. As soon as I arrived at school, it started to rain very heavily. Many students were late and were all wet when they got to school. But I wasn’t because I caught the early bus, or I would have been late and wet as wellLater that day, I realized that I had forgotten my wallet and couldn’t buy lunch. I couldn’t believe it. Then my friend Lisa said she could share her lunch with me.

       Finally, my older brother told me that night that he could take me to the concert that I’d been dying to attend that weekend. I was so happy!

       I think that was the best day I’d had in a long time.

       What a lucky day

    Step 5 Self Check

    1. Ask the students to read the words in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the words.

     

     

    2. Read the passage and then try to fill in the blanks with the correct form of the words in the box.

    Last Saturday after my French course, I decided to drive to the ______ to buy a meat pie for dinner. As I was heading ______, I saw a huge truck in the middle of the road. There had been a(n) ______ and there were many police ______ around. I turned around and decided to go to a nearby mall. However, I ______ the road that led to the mall.
