2.重点单词:gift shop, go straight, block, turn right, on your left, next to
3.重点句子:Where is the gift shop? Go straight two blocks and turn right.

1.知识与技能目标:学生能够听懂会说日常交际用语:"Welcome to Australia /Paris/ Egypt. What a wonderful country/ beautiful place/ fantastic country! " 初步掌握交际句型Is there a gift shop? Go straight / blocks and turn left. 语音语调正确,自然流利,并能较熟练地运用。

热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)

T: Hello, boys and girls. How are you?
S: Hello, Miss. I’m fine, thank you, and you?
T: I’m fine, too. Thank you very much.

呈现新课 (Presentation)
Step1 Lead in
T: We'll learn Lesson 5 《Where is the gift shop ?》
(设计意图:由情景导入,使学生有如身临其境,营造浓厚的语言学习气氛,明确学习任务。)
1.T: Look at the pictures and guess, then answer my questions.
2.T: Listen to the tape recorder and guess.
3.T: Listen to the tape and answer some questions.
T: Let’s play a game, take some pictures.
只看图片,让学生结合刚才复习的内容猜想故事地走向。
第一遍听录音,不急于跟读,只是让学生初步了解故事大意。
第二遍听录音,让学生分节听,并掌握重要的语言知识。
在活动中,在情境中习得新知识。
Step 2 Welcome to my city
Talk about the picture
(1)Listen to the tape:
Welcome to Australia. What a wonderful country! I saw that animal in the picture. Welcome to Paris. What a beautiful place! I saw that tower in the movie.
Welcome to Egypt . What a fantastic country! I saw those pyramids in the book.
(2)Let's learn and read: work in pairs. Welcome to Australia /Paris/ Egypt. What a wonderful country/beautiful place/fantastic country! "

Step 3 Where is the gift shop?
(1)复习学过的表示地点的名词:park, bakery, restaurant, supermarket, hospital, school, library, theater, bank, museum.
导出单词gift shop, building, 通过多媒体课件演示,学习next to, block, go straight, turn right/left.
(2)Mother’s Day is coming. 多媒体出示地图,然后问学生Where is the gift shop? 根据图片上的方位教给学生Go straight ____ blocks and turn left/right. It's next to ______.
A: Listen to the tape
B: Listen and answer.
Question: What is Sandy looking for?
C: Read the dialog and comprehend the test.(city map) .
