Mnkey climbed up the nearest tree. Hw hungry he was! He tk a fruit and put it int his muth. He didn’t knw that the tree was a chili pepper (辣椒) tree. Suddenly his muth felt full f fire!
Mnkey needed water! Under the tree thse three fierce dgs were barking at him. He had t wait until they
grew bred and left. Then Mnkey quickly returned t the grund and ran t stream. He drank lts f cl water. After a while his burnt muth felt better.

The island had always been her hme t Kiki, and she lved it. She had been just abut a year ld when the ship she and her family had been n was caught in a great strm. Bacteria Cafeteria
Every day, peple use teeth t cut, tear, and chew fd. They eat mst f the fd. But bits f fd stick t their teeth. Peple’s muths are filled with bacteria (细菌). They eat the bits f fd. The bacteria increase and build up n the teeth. And they can quickly frm a cating called plaque (牙斑).

quickly eats thrugh the dentine, creating a hle called a cavity. Then the acid can reach the pulp ( 髓 ) inside the dentine. The pulp has bld vessels (血管) that feed the tth. It als has nerves (神经). When the nerves get hurt, a persn may feel a tthache.
A dentist shuld fix tth decay. Bdies can repair brken bnes but nt decayed teeth. That’s because enamel and dentine aren’t living things. Dentists clean ut the decay and fill the space with strng material.
But tth decay shuld be prevented in the first place. Peple shuld visit the dentist twice a year. Dentists clean and examine the teeth. They can treat any tth prblems early.
