设计说明 首先通过复习颜色导入新课,用问题和图片呈现生词,导入新课,然后根据不同的任务引导学生逐步理解课文,逐步通晓阅读的技巧,最后解决课文中的重要知识点,为更好地掌握课文扫清障碍。 教学目标 通过本课时的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词和短语: mood, influence, whether, characteristic, calm, relaxed, peace, sadness, purity, wedding, prefer, create, feeling, remind, wisdom, as, envy, require, strength, heat, difficulty, decision, cheer up, green with envy, have difficulty (in) doing sth.。 2.能力目标 通过阅读,提高学生阅读的能力,逐步掌握阅读技巧。 3.情感目标 通过阅读,让学生知晓颜色与情绪之间的关系,学会控制好自己的情绪,热爱生活。 重点难点 重点:理解文章大意,掌握重要句型。 难点:灵活使用短语和句型,如:remind…of, cheer up, have difficulty (in) doing sth.等。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Ask and answer the following questions. 1. What’s your favourite colour? 2. Do you know anything interesting about colours? Step 2 Presentation 1. Show them a question: What kind of feeling will you have when you see them? Present some new words with the help of some pictures. blue—calm; yellow—warm; green—energetic; red—strong 2. Read the new words. Step 3 Reading Task 1 First reading—Scanning 1. What can colours do? 2. How do colours influence us? Answers: 1. Colours may influence our moods and make us feel happy or sad, energetic or sleepy. 2. They represent different characteristics. Task 2 Second reading—Skimming What kinds of colours are mentioned?
Task 3 Third reading—Read the passage and judge ( T or F ). 1. Blue is a calm and peaceful colour. 2. You should wear green clothes if you are feeling sad. 3. Blue can represent sadness and purity. 4. Orange is one of the warm colours. It represents joy. 5. Yellow is the colour of wisdom. 6. Red may help when you are having difficulty making a decision. You may wonder whether it is true. 你可能想知道这是否是真的。 whether 意为“是否”, 引导宾语从句,后面用陈述语序。 We don’t know whether/if it will rain tomorrow. 我们不知道明天是否会下雨。 Can you tell me whether/if you like walking? 你能告诉我你是否喜欢散步吗? My mother asks me whether/if I have had enough. 妈妈问我是否吃饱了。 2. This article explains what colours can do and what characteristics they represent. 本文阐明了颜色能起什么作用以及它们代表什么样的(性格)特征。 句中what colours can do和what characteristics they represent是宾语从句, 并列作explains的宾语。疑问词引导的宾语从句用陈述语序。 Can you explain what it is? 你能解释一下这是什么吗? I don’t know where he comes from. 我不知道他从哪里来? 3. People in cold areas prefer warm colours in their homes to create a warm and comfortable feeling. 寒冷地区的人们在他们家里更喜欢用暖色来营造一种温暖舒适的感觉。 (1)prefer to do sth. 更喜欢做某事 I prefer to stay at home on rainy days. 在下雨天,我更喜欢待在家里。 (2)prefer A to B 比起B, 更喜欢A I prefer apples to pears. 比起梨, 我更喜欢苹果。 I prefer walking to running. 比起跑步, 我更喜欢散步。 (3)prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. 比起做某事更喜欢做某事 I prefer to walk rather than run. 与跑步相比, 我更喜欢散步。 4. It can cheer you up when you are feeling sad. 当你感到难过时,它可以使你振作起来。 cheer…up 意为“使……振作起来”,代词作宾语时放在cheer和up中间。 She looks so sad. Let’s go to cheer her up. 她看起来如此伤心,咱们去让她振作起来吧。 If eating can cheer you up, why not go to the restaurant? 如果吃能让你振作起来,为什么不去饭店呢? 5. Yellow is the colour of the sun, so it can remind you of a warm sunny day. 黄色是太阳的颜色,所以它能使你想起温暖、阳光明媚的一天。 remind sb. of sth. 使某人想起某事 remind sb. to do /not to do sth. 提醒某人做/不做某事 remind sb.+ that从句 提醒某人…… Please remind me to get up early tomorrow. 请提醒我明天早起。 The song reminded us of Lei Feng. 这首歌使我们想起了雷锋。 She wanted to remind us that we should protect the environment by showing us the beauty of nature. 她想通过展示自然之美来提醒我们应该保护环境。 6. If you require strength in either body or mind, red may be of some help to you. 如果你的身体或大脑需要力量,红色或许对你有帮助。 (1) require 动词, 意为“需要; 要求”, 后可跟名词、不定式、动词-ing形式作宾语。 I am sure that everyone requires money. 我确定大家都需要钱。 You are tired. You require to have a rest. 你累了, 需要休息一下。 Your clothes are dirty. They require cleaning/to be cleaned. 你的衣服脏了,它们需要洗了。 (2) be of + n. +to sb. =be + adj. +to sb. 意为“对某人是……的”。 I think your advice is of some use/of some importance to us. = I think your advice is very useful/ very important to us. 我认为你的建议对我们来说是非常有用的/非常重要的。 7. Wearing red can also make it easier to take action. 穿红色也能更容易采取行动。 wearing red是动名词短语作主语。it为形式宾语,真正的宾语是to take action,easier是宾语补足语。 Learning English well is very important. 学好英语很重要。 Taking a walk after supper is good for your health. 晚饭后散步对你的健康有益。 I think it very easy to look after goldfish. 我认为照顾金鱼很容易。 8. This may help when you are having difficulty making a decision. 当你难以做出决定时,这种颜色可能有帮助。 (1)have difficulty (in) doing sth. 意为“做某事有困难,做某事费劲”, 也可用介词形式,即have difficulty with sth.。 He had much difficulty finishing the work. 他费了好大劲才完成这项工作。 With his help, I had no difficulty cooking/with lunch. 在他的帮助下,我没费劲就把午饭做好了。 (2)make a decision 意为“做出决定;下决心”,decision 是decide的名词形式。 I don’t know if /whether he has made a decision. 我不知道他是否已经做了决定。 No one can help you make a decision. You must do it yourself. 没人可以帮你做决定,你得自己做。 Step 5 Homework 1. Read the passage and try to retell it. Finish the exercises. 2. Write down a passage about your favourite colour. 当堂达标 根据汉语提示完成单词。 1.
