Lesson 45: China
设计说明 首先,展示一幅中国地图,通过问答导入新课。接着学习本课节的生词,并利用图片了解北京的名胜,为学习课文做好充分的准备。再次,通过听录音连线、听录音回答问题、阅读回答问题、阅读找出重要表达等来层层加深对课文的学习,并要求学生介绍中国。最后,总结课堂内容,处理本课其他的练习,并进行达标检测。课堂设计由浅入深、层层递进,使学生高效学习,完成学习目标。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:language, else, flag, palace, lovely 接触词汇:the Palace Museum 短语:the Great Wall 2.能力目标 理解对话语言,正确朗读对话;能谈论关于中国的一些名胜等。 3.情感目标 深化对祖国的热爱,增强民族自豪感。 重点难点 1. 重点:掌握本课节重点单词和短语;理解并朗读课文。 2. 难点:能用英语谈论有关中国的情况。 教学准备 PPT课件;课文音频;中国地图 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Review 1.Homework check. 2. Review what the students learned in the last lesson. Step 2 Leading in 1. Show a map of China and get the students to ask and answer in pairs like this: A: What’s this? B: It’s a map of China.
A: What do you know about our country? B: ... 2. Get the class to discuss the following questions: What places of interest do you know in China? Where are they? Step 3 Presentation 1. Teach the new words language, else, flag, palace and lovely. Then get the students to repeat the words two or three times after the teacher. Make sure they can pronounce them correctly. language /ˈlæŋɡwɪdʒ/ flag /flæɡ/ palace /ˈpæləs/ n.语言n. 旗帜n. 宫殿 else /els/adv.除……以外;其他 lovely /ˈlʌvlɪ/adj. 可爱的;美丽的 2. Show three pictures to learn the phrases the Palace Museum, the Great Wall and Tian’anmen Square. Step 4 Listening and matching Get the students to read the sentences and match them with the correct pictures.(Let’s Do It!No. 1) It is a lovely animal. It lives in China.
It is a wall. It is long and great.
It is east of China. Jenny and Danny are from that country.
It is a museum. It has a long history. It is famous around the world. Answers: (Above) Step 5 Listening and answering Get the students to listen to Part 1 of the lesson and then answer the question. What country are they talking about? Answer: China. Step6 Reading and answering Get the students to read Part 1 of the lesson and answer the questions: 1. Where do Jenny’s friends Li Ming and Wang Mei live? 2. What language do people speak in China? 3. What is the capital city of China? 4.Where are Canada and the U.S.? Answers: 1. They live in China. 2.They speak Chinese. 3. Beijing. 4.They are east of China. Step7 Reading and filling Get the students to read Part 2 of the lesson and fill in the blanks.
Answers: red, yellow, famous, history, China Step 8 Reading , finding and translating Get the class to read the lesson and find the following phrases, and then translate them. 1. a map of China 2. know about 3. speak Chinese 4. the Palace Museum 5. the Great Wall 6. be famous around the world Answers: 1. 一张中国地图 2. 了解 3.讲汉语 4. 故宫 5. 长城 6. 闻名于世界 Step 9 Reading and introducing 1. Get the class to read the lesson following the recording. 2. Get them to read by themselves. 3. Get them to introduce China. Step 10 Summary Sum up what we learned in this lesson with the whole class. something about China Step11 Exercises 1. Complete the dialogue with the words in the box.(Let’s Do It!No. 2)
