Welcome to China. As a music lover, I would like to send you one of my favorite records to help you understand Chinese music and culture.
The name of this record is “Jasmine Flower”, which is a representative of Chinese folk music. I give you this record for the following reasons. First of all, it is very popular, with beautiful melody and simple lyrics. It is easy to learn in a short time, which is conducive to understanding Chinese culture and getting closer to the Chinese people. At the same time, its smoothing tunes will make you feel pleased and comfortable. I bet you’ll love it.
I hope you will enjoy your stay in China.Yours, Li Hua第二节(满分25分) Possible version: Lucy’s present was the very last to be opened. Worrying that it would ruin the party, Madison grabbed the present reluctantly and ripped open the gift-wrap paper. Inside was a delicately hand-made lead rope! Shocked, she widened her eyes, covering her hands over her mouth. “It’s a lead rope for your horse Star. I made it by myself!” Madison pulled it out of the box and placed it on her lap, amazed at its beauty. Lucy added, “I heard you talking about your horse at school. That’s when I got the idea to make you a lead rope.”Deeply moved by what she said, Madison held the lead rope tightly in her hands. It was, by far, her very favorite birthday present of the day. She suddenly felt so bad because she had been so mean to Lucy. With tears swirling in her eyes, she blinked hard to fight them back, feeling a mixture of regret and gratitude. “Thanks so much for this lead rope. I love it! Would you like to join us and be our friends?” Lucy nodded cheerfully. Madison put her arm around Lucy’s shoulders, both smiling. With applause and laughter echoing through the house, Lucy joined the other girls to enjoy the party.听力材料Text 1 W: Are you from Australia, Tom?M: No, my friend Mike is. I am from Canada. But how long do your naps usually last?W: It’s random. That’s why I can’t take a nap.M: I love napping. I think it’s great.⑮I feel refreshed after I take a nap. And actually, it lets me take a break from the day to not think about anything.W: If I take a nap, it will keep me up all night.M: Oh, no. I’ve learned to plan that I take a nap during lunch or maybe early afternoon so that it won’t impact what time I go to sleep.W: ⑯I guess I could try it, and just set my alarm, and maybe it will give me more energy.Text 10 M: These days there are too many pills for just about everything. If you can’t sleep, take a pill. If you’re sad, take a pill. If you’re in pain, take a pill. But what about people who are overweight or lack fitness? ⑱The best solution for these people is to exercise, but many people don’t want to exercise or are unable to exercise. Drug companies are always looking for new pills to sell, and many have spent lots of money on developing pills for these people too. Many people in the world of sports are concerned about a pill like this. They fear that some athletes might use it as a performance-enhancing drug.⑲Even though the drug discovered in the 90s was never approved for human to use, some athletes may have used it to cheat. Some people think top athletes who pass drug tests might still be cheating, and in some cases this has been shown to be true. The world-famous swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps knew this, so he offered to go through extra drug testing before the 2008 Olympics.⑳He knew that many people would suspect his amazing strength, so he felt he had to prove that it came from hard work and training alone.
