一、教学目标(Teaching aims)
1. 帮助学生学习句型Here’s a card for you.和日常用语Happy birthday!
2. 通过教学生做生日卡片、送卡片等活动来培养学生与人沟通、与人交际的能力。
二、教学重难点(Teaching points and difficulties)
1. 词汇:how old, to
2. 句型:Here’s a card for you.
3. 日常用语:Happy birthday!

课件、音频。
四、教学过程(Teaching process)
Pre-task preparations
- 利用数词卡片帮助学生复习数词1-10。
- 教师先在黑板上画一张男孩的脸和一个蛋糕,男孩的下方写上Ben和当天的日期。然后告诉学生Today is Ben’s birthday,再在蛋糕上画一支蜡烛,告诉学生一支蜡烛代表一岁,问:Ben, how old are you? (手指着蛋糕上的蜡烛)请一个学生扮演Ben回答:I’m one.教师说:Happy birthday to you!
教师在男孩的头像上再加上些头发,同时添上一支蜡烛,请一个学生问:Ben, how old are you? 全体男生回答:I’m two years old.教师带领全体女生说:Happy birthday to you! 然后,教师再在Ben的头像下添上上衣和一支蜡烛,请全体女生问:Ben, Ben, how old are you? 教师扮演Ben回答:I’m three years old.全体学生说:Happy birthday to you!
重复上面的步骤到Ben十岁。
While-task procedures
1. 请学生到黑板上画一张Alice的脸和一个插着九支蜡烛的蛋糕,让学生数一数蜡烛的数量,请一个学生扮演Alice,和他/她对话。
T: (point to the date) Today is Alice’s birthday.
Let’s say “Happy birthday!” to Alice.
Ss: Happy birthday, Alice!
S1: (act as Alice) Thank you!
T: How many candles on the cake? Let’s count. One, two, three…
S: Nine candles!
T: Very good! How old is Alice? Do you know?
T: (point to the candles) How old are you, Alice?
S1: I’m nine.
T: Let’s sing “Happy birthday” together.
Ss: (sing) Happy birthday to you! ...
出示挂图,让学生根据图片练习How old are you? I’m...句型。
S1: (point to the picture of Peter) How old are you, Peter?
S2: I’m eight.
2. 播放Listen and say的录音,请学生跟读几遍。然后和个别学生表演对话。
T: Happy birthday, Alice! Here’s a card for you.
S1: (act as Alice) Thank you, Miss Fang.
S2: How old are you, Alice?
S1: I’m nine.
T: Let’s sing “Happy birthday” together.
Ss: (sing) Happy birthday to you! ...
3. 学生分为四人一组,表演Listen and say的对话。鼓励他们变换角色并加入自己的语言。然后邀请个别小组上来表演对话。
S1: (act as Miss Fang) Alice, it’s your birthday today.
S2: (act as Alice) Oh, yes. It’s my birthday today.
S1: Here’s a present for you.
S3: (act as Kitty) Here’s a birthday card for you.
S1&S3: Happy birthday to you, Alice!
S2: Thank you!
S1: Let’s have noodles together.
S2: Great!
4. 用多媒体呈现不同的人收到礼物时的情景,然后请学生说一说他们的表现,引出Culture corner的图片,让学生讨论Alice收到Joe的礼物时应怎么回应,哪种回应最恰当。可以请个别学生来表演两种回应,加深学生的印象。提供不同场景中人们收到礼物的图片,让学生两人一组,根据场景自编对话。请几组学生上来表演,让其他学生点评。
Post-task activities
1. 呈现Make and say的动画,讲解Kitty为Alice做生日卡片的步骤,然后请个别学生表演Kitty赠送Alice卡片的情景对话。
T: First, draw a picture (of a birthday cake). Next, colour the picture.
Then, write “Happy birthday!”
- 学生每人做一张生日卡片。让学生把制作的生日卡片送给想送的同学,并用英语对话。
Sl: ...’, here’s a birthday card for you.
S2: Thank you,…!
S1: How old are you?
S2: I’m nine.
S1: Happy birthday to you!
S2: Thank you!
