Step I  Warming up

●      Greetings and self-introduction.

●      Free talk: When is your birthday?

           When is your father/mother’s birthday?

(设计意图：与学生的日常交流能很好地拉近师生间的距离，给当天生日或临近生日的学生送上一份小礼物更让学生觉得心里很温暖，很开心。)

Step II  Learn about the activities

●  Task 1  presentation

Show some pictures about the activities: soccer game, school trip, School Day, book sale, English Day, art festival, Sports Day and party.

(设计意图：图片和熟悉的音乐声为学生的活动学习创设了语言情境，让学生在轻松的情境中学习新词汇，为下一环节作好准备。)

●  Task 2  Games

               Guessing Game

Attract students’ attention by guessing some of the activities.

(设计意图：小游戏能让学生的学习兴趣更浓，这个猜活动的小游戏不仅激发了学生的学习兴趣，而且进一步巩固了新词汇。)

               Making sentences (30 seconds limited)

Add dates to make sentences with the activities.

(设计意图：仿真30秒倒计时给学生营造了一种紧迫感，这一环节让学生在激烈的竞争中练习使用上面的新词汇，尝试挖掘学生的学习潜能。)

Step III  Read the notice

●  Task 1 New words learning

   Show the word cards and learn the words.

(设计意图：以卡片的形式从文中当堂学习新词，这样有助于学生理解文意，卡片更是加深了学生对新词汇的印象。)

●  Task 2 Fast reading

Lead students to read quickly and get the general idea.

      Task 3 Careful reading

Lead students to read carefully and complete the chart in activity 2b.

(设计意图：从快速阅读找中心句到细读了解细节，一步步训练学生的阅读技能，指导学生如何跳读、略读和细读，从而帮助学生掌握文本内容。)

      Task 4 Following the tape.

      Task 5 Retelling.

(设计意图：引导学生复述文章能让学生从文意上了解文章，从而有效避免了能背而不能理解的现象发生。)

Step IV  Discussion

●  Pair work:  1. What activities from 2b do you like?

2. What other activities do you like?

3. Do you like your school? Why?

(设计意图：将所学知识运用于日常生活中，让学生学以致用，同时对学生进行情感教育。)

Step V  Christmas Party

●    Introduce the Christmas Day.

●    Group work: Design the Christmas activities in our school.

●    Make a wish.

(设计意图：以学生感兴趣的圣诞节作为拓展部分的背景，能较大程度地激发学生的学习兴趣，同时也打开了学生的思维，给学生足够的操练空间。）
