难点分析	从知识角度分析为什么难		知识点本身概念难以掌握：情态动词（Modal verbs）是表示说话人对某一动作或状态的看法或主观设想的单词，其本身有一定的词义，但是不能独立作谓语，只能和动词原形一起构成谓语。情态动词用在行为动词前，情态动词后面的动词要用动词原形。虽然情态动词数量不多，但用途广泛，情态动词主要有以下单词：can（could），may（might），must，need，ought to，dare（dared），shall（should），will（would）。
	从学生角度分析为什么难		学生对情态动词can的具体用法分辨不清。 Can的用法：（1）表能力 We can do our homework by ourselves. 我们可以自己完成作业。 He can swim well. 他游泳很好。 I can play football but I can’t play the piano. 我会踢足球但是我不会弹钢琴。（2）表许可 You can watch TV after supper. 晚饭后你可以看电视。 You can’t play basketball in the street. 你不能在街上打篮球。（3）表请求 Can you help me with my math? 你能帮我学数学吗？ Could you lend your book to me? 你能把你的书借给我吗？ could 是can的过去式，但是这里并不表示过去时，而是表示委婉语气。情态动词的问答：由can引起的提问，肯定回答用can，否定回答用can’t。例如：－Can you open the door? 你能打开门吗？－Yes, I can. 是的，可以。－No, I can’t. 不，不可以。
难点教学方法	讲授法讲授情态动词can的用法。直观演示法运用图片导入词汇说出句型：I can... She can... He can... Can you...?/Can she…?/ Can he…? 肯定回答：Yes,I/She/He can. 否定回答：No, Yes,I/She/He can’t.练习法练习重点句型Can you...? －Yes, I can. －No, I can’t.
教学环节	教学过程
导入	Ⅰ. Lead in 熟读读新单词，为后面学习做铺垫。教师出示一张图片，问学生What is this？It’s a basketballk.引出重点句型I can play basketball，Can you play basketball? Yes, I can. No, I can’t.接着出示一张图片Basketball Club,引出句型I want to join the basketball club.看图片说句子：He／She can …..．Can you play …..? Yes, I can. No, I can’t ……等；然后询问学生：Can you play …..．？并引导学生进行简单的回答。 2. Ss look at the picture . Then read the words and phrases. Let Ss match the activities with the people. Then Check the answers with the class together.
知识讲解（难点突破）	Ⅱ. Presentation 出示一些反映各种活动的图片、幻灯片或播放课件，引导学生谈论活动。 Ⅲ. Game 1. (Guess .Can you……?) T:Cover the picture and let the students guess the activity. For example: Can you……? Ss answer, I can…… Game2.Welcome to the clubs;I want to join the ……Club. Can you play …..? Yes, I can. No, I can’t . Ⅳ. Work on 1a （完成1a） (1) Match the activities with the people in the picture. (2) Talk about the picture with Ss using the target language. T: Can “a” speak English? Ss: Yes, she can. Ⅴ1. T: Now let’s listen to the 1b, find out the right conversation, and number them 1-3. （播放lb部分的录音让学生听，引导学生根据所听到的内容，选出对话的顺序，完成1b部分的教学任务。） 2. Check the answers: (3, 2, 1 ) VI. Pair work1c 1. Ask the Ss to practice the conversations in 1b with a partner. Then make their own conversations. (引导学生展开Pairwork活动，完成lc部分口语交际的教学任务，学会运用can询问和表达能力。)

小结	本课时主要学习情态动词can的用法，采取了词汇和图片导入法，使学生更加直观的了解本课内容，过渡简单自然。图片教学法是呈现新知识最简单有效的方法之一，学生通过看懂图片，就能理解词汇句型的含义。此环节重点在新单词及词组的意思和发音上，所以要尽量让更多的学生张口说，必要的机械操练是必不可少的。通过图片教学法让学生掌握了这节课要学习的重点词汇和重点句型。
