情态动词有一定的意义,但不能单独作谓语,须与实义动词原形连用,表示说话人对所说动作的观点,没有人称和数的变化。常见的情态动词有can,may,need等,本单元主要学习情态动词can的基本用法。
表示“能力”,意为“能,会”。

表示“请求”或“许可”,意为“可以”。
表示推测,意为“可能”,常用于否定句或疑问句中。
