一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:1)能熟练运用Section A部分学习的词汇和目标句型; 2) 能在听力训练中识别以下重难句子:
1. I like clothes that are unusual.
2. I like writers who explain things well.
3. I love movies that are scary.
3) 运用that/which/who引导的定语从句来谈论自己在乐队,书籍,电影等方面的个人爱好。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
继续学习表达个人喜好,对于书籍,电影,音乐,歌曲等不同的话题进行简单的评论,在交流和表达的过程中潜移默化地提高学生审美水平。
二、学情分析:
定语从句在整个初中阶段的英语学习中有着举足轻重的作用:在已经学习过宾语从句和状语从句的基础上,九年级学生通过认知和反复运用定语从句,进一步提高了对于复合句的句法结构的感知能力,进而为提高学生语言阅读能力打下基础。本单元围绕“I like music that I can dance to.”这个话题,学生通过听、说、读、写环节来表达自己的不同喜好。学生通过Section A的学习已经有了较充足的语言积累,本课时是Section B的听说课,既是巩固已学知识的输出,也是为后面的阅读、写作进行语言的输入。
三、教学重难点:
1. 教学重点是准确判断that 和who的异同,并熟练运用定语从句来表达自己对于不同事物的喜好。另外,进行听力训练,提高学生综合听说能力。
2. 教学难点是学生能够在听力训练中识别出由that ,who引导的定语从句。
四、教学过程:
Step1 Warm up
1)Chant with paper cup beats.
2)Chant again with music.
Step 2 Lead in
T: We can also listen to very good music in movies. Let’s enjoy such a movie today, but I have questions for you first.
1)Watch the part of the movie COCO.
2)Answer the four questions.
3)Read the expressions together.
Step 3 A competition
Have a competition to review how to use that or who.
Step 4 Practice
Now let’s work in pairs. Ask your partner questions like this
A:What kind of movies/music/books/musicians/writers… do you like?
B: I like movies that …./ I like musicians who/that….
Step 5 Listening
1)Here comes your friend Michael. He is talking about three things he likes. Listen and write the 3 things that Michael likes.
2)Listen again and write down the reasons.
3)Divide the dialogue into 3 parts for the students to do group work.
Step 6 Micro-video
All of you are doing a good job this class. So I have a good reason to believe that all of you will enter your dream high school. One of you sent me a video about her favorite . Let’ s have a look.
Step 7 Speak out
What are your favorites? It is your turn to speak out.
1) Discuss in your group to set a topic that your members have interest in.
2) Speak out in your group about the topic by using who or that.
3) Use the expressions to help you.
Step 8 Show time
Students show their talks in groups. They can talk freely according to the topic they like.
Step 9 Homework
1)Write a short passage about your favorites;
2)Preview the passage Sad but Beautiful on page 70.
