Amelia walked a few steps mre t get a gd lk at his cardbard sign. It read: “A shemaker is lking fr wrk. I can repair any kind f ftwear!” She realized the man was actually nt a hmeless man begging fr mney. “Oh! Yu’re a shemaker. I think many factries ut there will ffer yu sme jbs,” she tld the man, finally nticing sme f his tls arund him. “N, miss. At my age, n ne wants t hire me anymre, s I’m trying t find sme wrk this way. If yu knw smene wh needs she repair, please let them knw abut me,” the man said.
Amelia ndded, thinking abut a few pairs f shes at hme that needed repairing. Generally, she wuld dnate them and buy new nes, but if this man culd repair them, she culd keep using them. “What’s yur name, sir?” Amelia asked.“I’m Martin, yung lady,” he said and smiled at her. “OK, sir. I have t g shpping nw, but I’ll return with a few pairs f shes that need sme fixing,” Amelia tld him with a smile and then walked twards the stre. After she finished her shpping, she went back hme.

本文的语篇类型是记叙文,记叙文的解读一般遵循以下四个视角:要素、情节、细节、关键句。
1. 读要素记叙文有六要素,即5W和1H——人物wh,地点where,时间when,事件what,原因why及怎样发展hw。通读全文可知,本文的六要素为:
1. 读要素理清这篇文章的5W和1H后,就能快速了解文章大意:Amelia在去杂货店的途中看到一位举着纸板的老人。她以为老人在讨钱,于是掏出钱打算给老人,却被老人拒绝了。Amelia后来得知老人名叫Martin,是一名鞋匠,他正在找工作。为了帮助他,Amelia打算把家里的鞋子拿给老人修补。
2. 读情节我们可以根据时间、地点和事情发展主线来把握情节。本文的时间线为:Amelia was n the way t the grcery stre→Suddenly, she saw an ld man hlding a cardbard sign near a street crssing→then walked twards the stre→she went back hme→Amelia returned t Martin→That night, she psted Martin’s stry nline alng with the picture地点线为:n the street→at hme→n the street→at hme事情发展主线为:Amelia在去杂货店的途中看到一位求助的老人→Amelia给老人钱,被老人拒绝→Amelia得知老人名叫Martin,是一名鞋匠→Amelia去购物→Amelia回家拿鞋→Amelia返回街上让老人修鞋。
3. 读细节本文的细节描写体现在人物细节上,我们可以通过文章对人物的所说、所做、所听、所想与所感来分析人物的性格特征。通过分析本文的人物行为——Amelia在去杂货店购物的途中看到一位求助的老人,于是拿出钱来给老人;Amelia得知老人是一名鞋匠,于是打算回家取鞋让老人修——可知,Amelia乐善好施。Martin年老失去工作,但他没有在家休息,而是外出寻找工作。由此可知,Martin是一个勤奋的人。这些都为之后故事情节的发展作好了铺垫。
4. 读关键句关键句指在文中有重要地位和作用的句子。本文的关键句为:第二段首句“Suddenly, she saw an ld man hlding a cardbard sign near a street crssing”, 第三段第一、二句“As she gt clser, she ffered him a $5 bill. T her cmplete shck, the man refused it”, 第四段首句“Amelia walked a few steps mre t get a gd lk at his cardbard sign”, 第六段首句“Amelia ndded, thinking abut a few pairs f shes at hme that needed repairing”,第七段结尾“After she finished her shpping, she went back hme”,这些句子能让读者很好地把握文章大意,从而合理预测并续写故事。
►第二步:写作思路微技能之G-N策略 同学们在续写故事时应注意以下事项: 1. 明确故事主题; 2. 把故事说“小”; 3. 故事角度要新; 4. 故事情节要合理; 5. 善于营造悬念。
►第二步:写作思路微技能之G-N策略 我们可以基于原文本和首句提供的信息(Given infrmatin),结合以上注意事项,预测故事发展,然后再根据故事发展方向回答一些问题(New infrmatin),这样可以拓展我们的思路和角度,最终形成合理的故事情节线。 根据续写第一段首句及前文最后一段的内容,我们可以推断出,续写第一段主要围绕Amelia返回街上让Martin帮她修鞋子展开。因此,我们可以尝试提出以下问题: (1) Martin向Amelia收了多少钱?Martin要价高吗? (2) 取鞋时,Amelia发现Martin的手艺如何?Amelia为什么会拍照片?
►第二步:写作思路微技能之G-N策略 根据续写第二段首句可知,那天晚上,Amelia把Martin的故事和照片一起发布到了网上。因此,我们可以尝试提出以下问题: (1) 网民对Martin的故事作何反应? (2) Martin后来有工作了吗?他会感谢Amelia的帮助吗?
►第三步:理清逻辑,优化语言 续写部分故事应围绕主要人物展开,详细刻画角色及其情感。人物、地点、事件与前文相符;人称与时态应与整体文章内容一致;人物的特点、文风和思想要与原文一致。使用恰当的衔接词以使故事具有连贯性;使用恰当的修饰词以使描写更加生动。语法结构与词汇应丰富、准确,表达要地道。
