1. Frm the scenes in the restaurant, what can yu infer abut Mr. Bean? Find evidence frm the text t supprt yur pinin.
Mr Bean is an amusing persn. His actins are always surprising. Yu can’t imagine what unexpected behavius he may d. Fr example, he hides the raw meat inside the sugar bwl, the tiny flwer vase and under a plate. He even hides sme inside the purse f a wman sitting near him and thrws sme dwn the trusers f the restaurant’s vilinist.
Mr Bean is mre nice than wise. He has n friends t celebrate the birthday tgether, but he writes himself a card and pretends t receive it surprisingly. He is nt rich, but ges t an expensive restaurant. He desn’t like steak tartare, but shws the waiter that he likes it and tries t shw this by emptying his plate and hiding the dish everywhere.
2. Mr Bean is a very ppular TV series in Britain. D yu think peple like it just fr fun? Is there any underlying meaning behind this TV series?
Mr Bean is ppular because the character in it cnstantly gets int awkward and absurd situatins, and his humur is always made clear thrugh a series f simple and funny acts that rely purely n bdy language, which is universal. Apart frm fun, peple like it because it prtrays rdinary peple’s life vividly, especially the awkward mments, ften with gd intentins but bad results. This is true t peple’s life as n ne is perfect. The meaning behind it might be life is still gd despite the imperfectins.
It is nt a simply funny TV shw. This TV series reveals the hypcrisy f pr peple. Mr Bean is pr but he still ges t a fancy restaurant. He can nly affrd ne dish. Even he desn’t like the dish, he pretends t be a rich man and enjys the dish.
