    The main idea, als called the main pint, is the mst imprtant thught abut a tpic. It tells the reader what the text is abut. It is usually stated in ne sentence.
    Details r supprting details are specific facts, reasns, examples r ther kinds f infrmatin used t supprt the main pints.
    A tpic in a paragraph, an article r ther passage is a general subject. It can ften be expressed in a single wrd r phrase.
