设计说明

首先老师通过关于棒球运动的问题进行对话,通过展示图片和对棒球文化的了解以及课本中的歌曲进入到本课时的话题Baseball Season。接下来学习本课词汇并通过练习题检测学生的掌握情况；然后通过读课文回答问题学习课本内容并通过听读找短语进一步巩固，并积累重要短语。之后，通过Let’s Do It!中的第2题进行听力练习并进一步了解Greg喜欢的运动（棒球运动）；然后讲解Let’s Do It!中第4题出现的关于棒球的习语，并完成匹配。最后完成Let’s Do It!中第3题，对“will”和“be going to”的用法进行巩固。本节课从多个角度、多种形式上对语言知识进行练习，从而达到教学目的，实现教学目标。

通过本课节的教学，学生达成以下目标：

Step 1　Lead-in 

1. Have a free talk with students about baseball.

T: Do you know baseball?

Ss: Yes.

T:What do you know about baseball?

S1:It began in the U.K.

S2:It’s a team ball game

S3:Each team has at least nine players.

S4:It is popular in the U.S. and Japan.

S5:It was played at the Olympics in 1992.

S6:Alexander Joy Cartwright is the father of baseball. He is from America.

2. Show some pictures about baseball. Then share some baseball culture.

About baseball

    Baseball is the national sport of the U.S. It became very popular there in the 1840’s. “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” is a popular song about baseball. Almost every baseball fan can sing this song. Jack Norworth wrote the words in 1908. But he never went to a baseball game before he wrote the song.

3. Let students listen to the song “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and sing along with it.

      Buy me some hot dogs and lots of snacks.

1. Teach students to learn about the new words .

baseball /ˈbeɪsbɔːl/ n. 棒球

snack /snæk/ n. 点心;小吃

pop /pɒp/ n. 汽水

ever /ˈevə/ adv. 曾经;究竟;到底

2. Ask students to read them for some times and know their meanings.

3. Let students practice the new words. Check if they have known them.

在周末，我们经常会同其他队比赛。      

  play against... 意思是“与……打对抗赛”。其中，against作介词，意为“违反；反对；靠着”。

2. My family and friends will come and watch me play.

我的家人和朋友会来看我打球。　

  watch 作及物动词时，意为“观看；注视，注意”。

常用搭配：watch sb. do sth. 意为“观看某人做某事”，强调看见整个过程或动作经常发生; watch sb. doing sth. 意为“看见某人正在做某事”，强调看见某个动作正在进行。

He often watches her daughter dance. 他经常看他女儿跳舞。

I watched a girl dancing in the park. 我看到一个女孩正在公园里跳舞。

【辨析】watch, look与 see

  ① watch “观看，注视”。指较长时间集中注意力去看电视或比赛等，后面可以直接加宾语。

  ② look 表示主动地，有意识地看，侧重看的动作，常用作不及物动词，接宾语时，其前加 at。

  ③see 通常指看的结果，意思为“看见，看到” 。也用于“看电影” , see a film 。

if 意为“如果”,引导条件状语从句。主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时。

I will call you if he comes back. 如果他回来我会给你打电话的。

它19世纪40年代在美国变得非常流行。

in the 1840’s 意为“在19世纪40年代”。当表示 “在……世纪或……年代”时，用“in the＋年份’s/ 年份s” 结构。

  这款手机制造于20世纪90年代。

  The man was born in the 1950s. 这位男士出生于20世纪50年代。
