设计说明 本课时学习与变化相关的阅读理解。教学时先从谈论留守儿童入手,导入新课,再进入对课文的阅读理解。通过完成不同的阅读任务,让学生理解文本内容。 教学目标 通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 单词:seldom, influence, absent, fail, examination, boarding, exactly, pride, proud 短语:take care of, be absent from, in person, even though, take pride in, be proud of 重点句型:It is hard to believe that he used to have difficulties in school. 2.能力目标 (1)能够比较熟练地运用英语语音知识朗读课文;能够表达自己现在和过去在外表、性格、爱好等方面的变化。 (2)锻炼学生捕捉语篇主题、理解细节内容并推断语篇深层含义的能力。 (3)培养学生略读、精读的能力。 3.情感目标 培养学生积极健康的心态,学会谈论事物的发展和变化,明白事物是不断发展、变化的道理。 重点难点 1.重点: (1)理解文章大意,掌握语篇中涉及的重点单词、短语和句型。 (2)正确使用used to结构描述或询问过去的情况,并进行今昔对比。 (3)通过快速阅读语篇,进行阅读策略的训练。 2.难点: 根据上下文和具体语境猜测生词的含义。 教学准备 PPT课件 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show a picture of left-behind children and tell them: Most of us live with parents, but there are some children can’t live with their parents. Get the students to talk about some of the changes their parents experienced. Use the sentence: My mother/father used to ____________ , but now ______________. Step 2 Reading Pre-reading Work on 2a Li Wen is a 15-year-old boy from the countryside. His parents are working in the city. Look at the title of the passage and the picture below. What problems do you think he might have? He Studies Harder Than He Used to Suggested answer: He might have problems with his study. Fast reading Task 1 Skimming Skim the article on page 30. Then match the paragraphs with their main ideas.
