教学目标

1. 能听读会说单词：nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
2. 运用句子How many询问生活中物品的数量，运用数字1-12说明数量。
3. 通过情景对话、游戏、小组合作交流等，达到师生互动、生生互动，使每个学生能参与课堂活动，在听、说、做当中学会英语和运用英语。

教学重点

听懂理解与数字相关的句子，注意单词的发音及拼写，提高学生对英语学习的兴趣。

教学难点

灵活运用How many+可数名词复数询问数量。

基数词1-12在生活的情境中自主表达。

教学过程

1. Revision

1. Say and spell the numbers from one to eight.
2. Competition. Show the pictures of things and numbers. Work out the math problems in groups. Choose the best one to reward.

2. Lead in

  Show the picture of the girls. Ask “How many girls?”. Students can answer “Nine girls”. Say “Today let’s learn Module 5 Unit 2 Nine girls?.”

3. Presentation

(1) Lead in. Show the picture of Part 1. There are two groups in the teacher’s class. Boys and girls win the red stars for their performances. Ask “How many stars for boys? How many stars for girls? ”

(2) Watch and answer. Play the cartoon. Get students to find out the numbers of the red stars for boys and girls. 

(3) Read and spell. Learn the numbers of nine and ten. Let them know the letters “ i” in “nine” and “five” have the same sound . The word “ten” has the same sound as the word “seven”.

(4) Count from ten to one. Show the picture of a rocket. Let students learn to count down.

(5) Lead in. Show the pictures of the girls and the boys . Say “We don’t know how many ? Think about it when you are watching the video.”  

(6) Watch and find numbers. Watch the dialog of Part 2. Then students answer “Ten” and “Twelve.”. In the end, show the results of the pictures to check the answer.

(7) Repeat. Repeat with the video to revise the dialog. Pay attention to the intonation.

(8) Read and spell.

A. Learn the words of “eleven” and “twelve”. Let them know “eleven” has two letters of “e”. They sound different. So does the word “twelve”.

B. Show the two sentences including how many. Notice we should put the countable plural nouns after “many” and “ how many”.

(9) Say and spell. Show the numbers from one to twelve. Pay attention to the pronunciations and spellings.

(10) Ask and count.

A. Show the pictures of dogs, pandas, birds and cats. Get students to ask and answer the numbers.

B. Show the picture of Part 5. Count the dogs, cats and caps.

C. Show the things in life to find the numbers.

4. Practice.

(1) Find and say the missing numbers. At last, praise the students in class.

(2) Game. Listen to the numbers. Then show your fingers. This activity is in pairs.

(3) Count.

A. Show the picture of a room. First guide students to say the names of the nouns. Then count their numbers. This activity is in groups.

B. Remind students of the colors of the dogs and the caps. They are different.

(4) Game. 

A. Show the math problems in English words. Work them out in groups.

2. Choose twelve students to play the game of “holding together”. It is played before. It’s very interesting.

(5) Chant. It can revise how many and the four numbers.

(6) Song. Listen to a song “Ten little fingers.”

(7) Know. Have students learn about the different likes of the numbers between China and England.

(8) Chant. Listen to a chant with twelve numbers.

6. Summary

Sum up the key words and sentences to revise.

教学反思

In this lesson, by studying of the numbers from nine to twelve, students can count the things in our life in English.

In class, help students to work in groups. They can learn the knowledge well from each other. Encourage them to answer questions in class. Tell students to use languages we have learned in life. Pay attention to get students to learn about the different cultures between China and England.
