Qufu (曲阜 Qūfù)
Qufu is a twn in Shandng Prvince, lcated abut 2 hurs by bus frm the prvincial capital Jinan. Famus as the birthplace f Cnfucius, its Cnfucius related sites are declared a UNESCO Wrld Heritage Site.
Temple f Cnfucius
The mst famus and largest temple hnuring the great sage, it is als a UNESCO Wrld Heritage Site. It cvers 16,000 square metres and has 460 rms. The main part cnsists f nine curtyards with several gates. Dacheng Hall stands at the centre and is the principal place fr ffering sacrifices t Cnfucius.
Kng Family Mansin
Lcated t the east f the Temple f Cnfucius, this was the histrical hme f the descendants f Cnfucius frm where they managed sites and ceremnies in Qufu. Tday it is a museum.
Cemetery f Cnfucius
This is where Cnfucius and his descendants are buried. There are mre than 10,000 f them, buried here ver 2,000 years. The cemetery has had many renvatins and extensins in its histry.
