    一、Warm up:

    二、Revision:

    1. Look at the pictures and answer the teacher’s questions:

      T: What are you going to do?

      S: I’m going to fish.

      T: Me, too. Let’s go to Xili Lake.

    2. Work in pairs according to the model.

    三、Presentation:

       1. The teacher asks the students about their plans in the weekend:

         T: What are you going to do this weekend?

         S: I’m going to …

       2. Get the students to ask in pairs.

       3. Invite one of the students to ask the teacher:

         S: What are you going to do this weekend?

         T: I’m going to shop. I like shopping. I don’t like swimming.

    4. Guide the students to practice like that in pairs.

    5. Do a survey:

    The third period

    A: Contents:B2

    B: Language Focus: What are your hobbies? I like…  I don’t like…

    C: Steps:

    一、Warm up:

       1. Sing a song.

       2. Play a game.

    二、Revision:

       1. Look at the pictures and answer:

         T: What are you going to do?

         S: I’m going to …

         T: Why?

         S: Because I like…  I don’t like …

       2. Let the students ask three of their classmates like that.

    三、Presentation:

       1. Invite several students to come to the front and make an introduction about one of his classmates’ hobbies.

    e.g: Mary is my classmate. She’s 12 years old. She likes playing chess. She can play very well. She doesn’t like playing the piano.

       2. Then the teacher questions:

         T: Why do you like …?[:**Z*X*X*K]

         S: Because it’s fun.

       2. The teacher makes an introduction about herself:

    e.g: I like listening to CDs and watching TV. They are very fun. I don’t like fishing or shopping. They are boring. Those are my hobbies. What are your hobbies??

       3. Guide the students to say like that.

       4. Play a game: The teacher shows some cards which are written some hobbies on them. Then let one of the students come and get a card. The student must try do describe the hobbies but not say out it directly. The other students guess what hobby it is.

       5. Open the books and listen to the tape. Then try to finish B3.

    四、Sum up:

        Today we’ve learnt how to express our hobbies and tell others the reason.

    五、Homework:

       1. Listen to the tape and repeat.

       2. Write some sentences to describe your hobbies.

     Homework: Read the story to your parents.

     

     

     

     

     

    The Fifth Period

    A: Contents: Learn E, F, G and H

    B: Language Focus: 1. Sound / i / and  / i: /.

                       2. chant

    C: Steps:

    一、Warm up:

        1. Sing a song.

        2. Play a game.

    二、Revision:

        1. Let the students introduce their hobbies. Explain why they like them or why they don’t like them.

        2. Show some pictures to the students. Then let them talk about the picture to make up a short story.

    三、Presentation:

       1. Learn the sounds / i /  and / i: /. Pay attention to the differences between these two sounds.

       2. Learn to say the rhyme.

       3. Get the students to do a survey on page 6. Then complete the blanks on page 7. After that make a report about your survey.

       4. Listen to the tape and try to chant while finishing the blanks on page8.[:]

       5. Get the students to know about the money in different countries. We can also introduce some other countries’ money. Such as Chinese “yuan” and Japanese money.

    四、Homework:

        Surf the Internet and try to find some information about different countries’ stamps or money.

     

     

     

    The Sixth Period

    A: Contents: I, J

    B: Language focus: Have a quite good understanding about stamps.

       Check up the students.

    C: Steps:

    一、Warm up:

       1. Sing a song.

       2. Play a game.

    二、Revision:

       1. Get some students to introduce something about the stamps.

       2. Get some students to introduce something about the money.

       3. Ask the students:

         T: My hobby is collecting stamps. They are very beautiful. How about you?

         S: My hobby is ….

       4. Listen to the tape on page 9. Make sure that the students can grasp it. Then complete the exercise on page 9.

       5. A quiz: Finish the exercise on page 10. hen check it.

    五、Homework:

       1. Go over the whole unit.

       2. Write a letter to one of your friends. Introduce your hobbies to him/her.

     

    Feedback: This lesson is relatively simple. The pupils are readily understand.
