I. Lead-in

1. Lead to the topic: My friends;
2. Sing a song of Colourful clothes.

II. Revision of words and expressions

1. Revise the key words by playing a game Do the laundry;
2. Review the scene of meeting new friends;
3. Play a game Quick Response to drill the pattern: He/She has... .

III. Talk about new friends

1. After school, Alice goes back home and introduces her new friends to her parents:

1)  Listen to Alice’s introduction of her new friend;

2)  Present a mind map of features of Alice’s new friend;

3)  Fill in the blanks of Alice’s introduction of her new friend:

(name) _____ is my new friend.

He/She is _______(thin/fat/tall/short).

He/She is _______(eight/nine/ten...).

He/She has a/an _____(dress/shirt/skirt...).

He/She can _______(play basketball/fly a kite/...).

4)  Finish the profile of Alice’s new friend.

2. Peter goes back home and introduces his new friends to his parents:

1)  Finish the profile of Peter’s new friend;

2)  Complete Peter’s introduction for his new friend according to the profile.

3. Write and share:

1)  According to the profile, students choose the friends they want to make friends with;

2)  Students take out their worksheets, and write an introduction of their new friends, then talk about it.

IV. Summary

1. We introduce our new friends by talking about their names, figure, age, clothes and abilities;
2. Think about what kind of people we want to make friends with.

V. Homework

1. Review the key words and sentences;
2. Write an introduction of a new friend;
