教学过程

1.Warm-up Activity

1)        Teacher plays a song and students are asked to sing it together in order to memorize the expression of asking the time.

2.Key point  

1)        Teacher explains the correct way to tell different time by showing an illustration of a clock.

2)        Teacher shows some examples and provides students practices. Students are asked to tell the correct time in English.

3.Listen and Chant

1)        Before playing the video, teacher gives students some pictures and a question related to the video they are going to watch.

2)        Then, teacher plays the videos. Students answer the question “What time does the school start?”.

3)        Teacher guides students to chant together.

4.Listen, Read and Act out

1)        Teacher instructs students to look at pictures and answer the multiple choices question.

2)        Questions are given to students. They are asked to answer them after watching the video.

3)        Students are given time to find certain English phrases in the text.

4)        Teacher guides students to read the text together.  

5)        Students act out the dialogue in roles.

5.Listen and Say  

1)        Teacher guides students to read the dialogues.

2)        Teacher explains the formation of questions of time.  

6.Practise

1)        In group of two, according to the prompts of pictures, students are asked to complete the sentences given.

2)        Refer to the pictures on page 46 Practise, write three set of dialogues.
