Teaching Steps (教学步骤)
1. Warming-up and revision (课堂热身和复习)
(1)Daily greetings to the students. (日常问候)
T: Good morning/afternoon! /Hello!/Hi!/How are you?
S: I’m fine, thank you. And you?
(2)Revision
1) A guessing game: (Show some colors)
T: Look at this. What color is it?
S: I know it’s red.
(以此方法复习yellow, white, black, brown, purple, orange, blue, green)
2)A spelling game
T: What’s this color? (教师在黑板上书:b__ __ __ )
S: Is there an “l” in this word?
T: Yes, there is.
S: Is there a “u” in this word?
T: Yes, there is.
S: Is there an “e” in this word?
T: Yes, there is.
S: Ah, I know it’s blue.
(以此方法复习yellow, white, black, brown, purple, orange, red, green)
(3)Dictation
T: I’ll read some letters, and you have a dictation.
【教学设计说明】通过猜测游戏和拼写游戏,既帮助学生巩固颜色词汇,又帮助他们学会拼写单词。此部分的教学为本堂课后面的教学做好了铺垫。
2. Work on 1a
(1) T: Next, we’ll listen to … This time, we only listen. (Play the recording.)
(2) T: Let’s listen to the … again. This time, you can listen for the things.
(3) T: What color are the things? Let’s listen again. You can fill in the chart.
3. Work on 1b
(1) Get two students to practice the conversation in 1b.
(2) Students practice their conversations in pairs.
While the students are practicing, the teacher moves around and helps those who need help.

4. Work on 1c and 1d.
(1) Play the recording for the first time, Students only listen.
(2) Play the recording for the second time. Let students read after the recording.
(3) Ask some students to read the words in 1c
(4) Read the words in 1d and then let students read them.
5. Work on 2a.
T: Look at the pictures in 2a.
What’s this in English? (Teacher shows some pictures or plays PPT.)
S: It’s a bike.
T: What color is it?
S: It’s black.
Let students make new conversations.

7. Work on 2b
Listen and circle the word.
(1) Play the recording for the first time, Students only listen.
(2) Play the recording for the second time. Let students circle the word.
(3) Ask some students to show their answers.
8. Work on 2c and 2d

(1) Play the recording for the first time, Students only listen.
(2) Play the recording for the second time. Let students complete the words.
(3) Ask some students to read the words.

(1) Play the recording for the first time, Students only listen.
(2) Play the recording for the second time. Let students read the words.
