Review the wrds and the sentences: Did yu…? What did yu d yesterday?
Step2. bring in a mnthly calendar.
T: When is Tree Planting Day?
Pint t the date n the calendar t elicit respnses frm Ss.
Ss: It’s n March 12th.
T: What did yu d n March 12th last year? Did yu plant a tree last year.?
Gesture Ss t raise their hands if they planted a tree last year n March 12th.
T: Ten peple planted trees last year.
Have Ss lk at the page fr a few minutes.
T: What are Gg and Jenny talking abut?
Ss: They are talking abut Tree Planting Day.
T: Let’s listen t the tape and read the stry.
Play the tape, pausing after each sentence t have Ss repeat. Then put Ss int pairs t practice acting ut the dialg.
Step3. Listen t the tape abut Practice 1: allw Ss sme time t lk at the pictures.
Play the tape fr A, and then pause. Have Ss pint t the crrect picture and put a checkmark in the bx.
Repeat the prcedures with the ther three questins.
Step4. Listen and chant and then finish part 2: write dwn the missing wrds. At last, chant tgether.

Step1. Warming up.
Review: the sentences: What did yu d yesterday? Did yu study yesterday?
Step2. D the exercise “Tree Planting Camp” tgether.
Have Ss lk at the picture n the page.
T: Where were they? Ss: They were at Tree Planting Camp.
Write “What did Tny and Jenny d at Tree Planting Camp?” n the bard. Ask S1 t write the answer n the bard.
Give Ss time t write the answer n the page. And then give Ss answer the ther questins.
Check answers with the class.
Step3. Write helped, used, listened, carried, painted and acted n the bard and underline ed.
T: Let’s practice these sunds. Lk at my muth and repeat.
Explain when each sund is used, depending n yur students
Level.
Listen t the tape and have Ss pint t each wrd as the tape says it. After enugh practice, pint t pictures randmly and have Ss say the wrds.
Step4. Write “Yesterday, I listen__ t music.” n the bard.
T: Lk at the sentence. What’s missing? Ask ne student t write ed in the blank.
While Ss are writing, encurage them t read the sentences ut lud t themselves.
