Free talk and lead－in：

S1：It is a pen.

T：Spell it，please!

T：Great，sit down.And，what's this？(pencil)

Ss：It's a pencil.( Students can also answer it in Chinese.)

T：Yes，it is a pencil.Now，let's come to Unit 3 Is this your pencil?

Self－study guide 1：

Self－study the new words：pencil，book，eraser，box，pencil box，schoolbag，dictionary，his，mine，hers.

You can listen to the tapes to help you pronounce them correctly or ask others for help.

Self－study guide 2：

Self－study 1a，try to read and understand the conversations.

Questions for thinking：How to write yes or no questions?

The teacher walks around the classroom to watch and help the students study while the students are self－studying.Encourage students to find out their problems in self－studying both in pronunciation and understanding.

Time for questions：

Discuss the difficulties that most students have and explain the language points that most students can't understand.

Words teaching：Ask a few students to read the new words and help them correct the mistakes in pronunciation if necessary.

课堂教学中，学生应该有足够的听说训练，本课时的重点是掌握一般疑问句的构成、回答以及语音语调，学生只有在听说活动中才能熟练地学会运用。在学习名词性物主代词时，要引起学生足够的重视，因为这是汉语中不曾有的，学生很容易出错。
