Teaching methods:

1.  To teach the new words by showing pictures on the screen and communite with the students

 2.  To teach the sentence patterns by leading with the pictures on the screen

Teaching aids：Multi-media,101ppt

Teaching procedures：

 Step1    listening to an English song about weather

设计意图：依据新课标所要求的英语教学要注重学生的兴趣，并且让学生在具体的语言情境下去体会语言，感知语言。

Step2 learning new words and target language

sunny ,rainy/raining, cloudy, windy ,snowing /snowy, weather 

设计意图：谈论天气与我们的日常生活有关，遮罩图学生兴趣浓，比较直观易接受。
  Step3  Match the words with the pictures 1

设计意图：巩固目标词汇，让学生更加直观的建立英语思维。

Step4  Listening  1b

1.Listen to the tape and write these city names in the boxes above.

2.Check up the answer设计意图：动画、图片、声音等多媒体素材形象配合，复习“现在进行时“时师生可随时设置情景，贴近实际，学生在生动活泼的氛围中掌握教学内容。
Step5 Pairwork

设计意图：打破了原来的机械的进行pair-work, 而是鼓励同学们用边表演边问答的方式，是同学们置身于真实的情景中，用英语交流。

Step6  Listening(2a 2b)

1.Listen and number the pictures [1---4] as you hear them.

2.Listen again and match the names with the activities.

3.Check the answer orally.

设计意图：训练学生听录音获取细节的能力。此环节既能充分练习学生的目标语言，使学生学以致用，同时也能极大的调动学生们的课堂参与。

 Step7  Pairwork

Ask and answer questions . Talk about the people in 2a. 

 设计意图：让同学们实现语言的灵活运用。

 Step8 Read the conversation in 2d and answer the questions

设计意图：学生通过回答问题能理解对话的内容，通过角色扮演能在情境中学会运用，通过自编对话能更好的让学生学以致用。

Step9 Exercise

用所给单词的适当形式填空。

设计意图：复习了天气单词,将本课时重点句型呈现。

Step10 Homework

watch the weather report ,then write a weather report .

 设计意图:笔头巩固所学目标语言.
