1. 能够了解字母组合th在单词中的读音/ð/,并会读相关单词。

2. 能够理解掌握Culture time的内容，了解中西方关于赠送礼物的文化差异。

3. 能够理解，朗读，并表演Cartoon time的故事。

教学重点：能够理解，朗读，并能创作表演Cartoon time的故事。

教学难点：能够了解字母组合th在单词中的读音/ð/,并能准确读出相关单词。

Teaching procedures 教学过程：

Step 1 Warming up

1. Free talk.

2. Play a game: Do you know?

Step 2 Sound time

1. Listen and repeat.

  Listen to the girl and try to repeat.

  Learn to say with gestures.

2. Learn the sound of /ð/.

  Try to say more words.

3. Try to read more words which have the same sound of /ð/.

Step 3 Culture time

1. Talk about the girl’s birthday present.

  How to receive the present? What to say? And what to do?

  Have a discuss.

2. Try to learn.

  What do people in the west usually do when they receive the presents?

  What do they say?

3. Try to act out the scene that people receive the presents.

  Work in pairs.

4. Open the present box and have a look.

  Tickets to the play.

  See a play.

Step 4 Cartoon time 

1. Watch and answer..

a. Who are in the play?

b. What roles do they play?

Check the answer and learn the word: hero.

T: If you are in the play, which role do you want to play?

Ss: …

2. Read and answer.

   a. What do you think of Bobby?

     Work in pairs and try to find the answers.

     Discuss in chorus. Talk about Bobby and learn the new words:

password, answer and start fighting.

     ①Bobby is clever.  ②Bobby is brave.

     T: Does Bobby like the play? Why?

     Have a discuss. And try to read.

   b. What do you think of this play?

     Try to add a title for the play.

     What a/an _____ play!

3. Learn to read.

  Listen and repeat.

  Read in chorus.

4. Try to act the play.

Set a model.

Group work. Try to make a new play.

Step 6 Homework assignment:

1. Make a video of your play and upload it to class QQ group.

2. Listen and try to recite Cartoon Time.

3. Review Unit 8 and get ready for the next class.
