Step 1: Warm up
- T:Look at the pictures, let’s review the Chinese festivals. What are they?
- T: Let’s describe them one by one.
Step 2: Grammar time
- T: Well done! They are Chinese traditional festivals. Let’s learn some other Chinese festivals: Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival and Double Seventh Festival.
- T：Read the sentences and find these are months.
Now do some riddles.
From the riddles, learn some other months: March, April, July, August and December.
T: Now play a game: say from January to December.
Then play another game according to the pictures, speak out the festival is in which month.
- T: Look at the months, find the rules of abbreviation.
We can use the first three letters and a dot to express month. May and September are different from other months.
- T: Read the sentences and find the rules.
