Step 1 Lead in

      Show Ss a video about Tang yunyi’s outdoor activities. Ask the students to say the outdoor activities

 设计意图：通过学生的一组户外活动的视频自然引出本课话题。

Step 2 Check the preview .

Step 3 Presentation

 1.Play a guessing game

 设计意图：让学生能增加一些有关这些户外活动的信息，为以后的讨论作一下铺垫。同时调节一下课堂气氛，激发学生的参与欲望。

2.Talk about more outdoor activities.

 设计意图： 让学生了解更多的户外活动，增加信息量

3.Have an interview: Talk about outdoor activities students did before.

 设计意图：通过这个环节，让学生用过去式谈谈以前参加过的户外活动，一为自然引出下文想要尝试新的户外活动的环节，二为引出本单元的语法继续学习过去式。

 Step 4 Practice

1.Listen to the tape and find out Amy’s and Daniel’s favourite outdoor activities. and the reasons.

2.Repeat after the tape and act out the dialogue .

3.Make up new dialogues.

设计意图：训练学生听说能力，让学生用所学知识，投入到实践运用中去。

Step 5 Presentation

1. Eddie and Hobo are doing an outdoor activity. Look at the picture, and tell me what is it .

2. Listen to the tape with questions

3. Ss read after the tape recorder.

4. Act out the dialogue .  Ask Ss to try to use body language and gestures.

Step 6 Discuss:

 Outdoor activities can make us have good qualities .

设计意图：引导学生在做户外活动中要坚强，勇敢，自信 要重视团队合作，正好适时得进行情感教育，也为下一环节作下铺垫。

Step 7 Further practice:

Talk about the outdoor activities at school .

      1 Have a discussion. What ideal outdoor activity would you like to try ?

                       What do you like about …?

      2 Show a report to Mr Yao.

设计意图：让学生四人一组讨论要尝试什么样的户外活动，并汇报。在学习的过程中及时的检测反馈学生知识的掌握情况。

Step 8 Further practice

 Design a poster to attract more people to take part in outdoor activities .

设计意图：进一步巩固学生在本节课中的学习内容，也从说写等方面进一步提升学生学以致用的能力，也同时让学生体会到英语课堂带来的成就感和满足感。

Step 9 Recommend two books to Ss .One is Alice in Wonderland ,the other is The travels of Marco Polo. Encourage Ss to read more books.

设计意图：轻轻点出本单元Reading中即将要学的内容和Intergrated skills 中要讲到的信息，使得学生对后面的学习有了更多的期待。

Step 10 Homework :

      1 To do an outdoor activity with your family.

      2 To read the story---Alice in Wonderl

Ss watch the video about some outdoor activities.

In this period, we learned something more about different outdoor activities, and read a part of Alice in Wonderland. Also, Students talked about their outdoor fun and  thought about what would happen to Alice next. In this period, they were taught how to talk about their favourite outdoor activities. They can learn more words and share more opinions by exchanging the information they have got.
