教学过程 | Step1 Lead-in Listen to the theme song of Chinese Young Volunteers Association. Explain the meaning of the sign of it . Step2 Pre-reading What is a volunteer ? A volunteer is a person who freely helps others. How could we help others ? What could we do to help others ? Step3 While- reading Read the passage quickly to answer the question: What do Mario and Mary volunteer to do ? Step 4 Detail reading Task 1.Let the students read the Para 2 carefully and answer two questions and finish 1. Why does he volunteer to help others? 2.What’s his feeling about volunteering?
Task II Read Para. 3 and answer the questions.
Task III Do a survey & make a plan 每个志愿组组长询问组员如下问题，写出总结并制定出本周末的志愿者活动。 1.Which volunteer job do you want to do ? 2.Why do you want to do the volunteer job ? 3.How do you feel about it ? 4.What volunteer job would you like to do this weekend ? Ask the group leader of each group to show their volunteering plan.
Step 5 Post-reading There is a saying in English : The rose’s in her hand ,the flavor is in mine. That means helping others can make you happy.
