1、学习重点词汇及短语: sing , swim , guitar, drum, chess, jin, draw, dance, speak, can’t=can nt, play the guitar, play the drum ,jin the swimming club.
2、掌握情态动词can的肯定句和否定句,一般疑问句及肯定,否定回答。
能力目标:
1、通过谈论特长与爱好,使学生建立自信并培养一种群体意识。
2、学会在新的语境中运用新学的语言知识。
情感态度:
通过实践让学生体验学习英语的乐趣,并能勇于展示自己的才能。通过小组活动谈论彼此的特长与爱好，使学生能够在活动中积极与他人交流，互相学习，互相帮助，培养团队精神。
2学情分析
七年级的学生正处于英语学习兴趣培养和学习习惯养成阶段，他们喜欢寓教于乐，快乐中无意识的记住课时重难点，而不希望教师填鸭式的讲解语法与句型，教师一旦激发了他们的学习兴趣，走进他们的生活，他们就能进入最佳学习状态，掌握知识，运用策略，形成技能，养成良好的人生观和价值观。本单元的主题是运用情态动词can谈论能力,通过对目标语言的学习使学生能够表达自己在某一方面所具备的才能;通过谈论彼此的特长与爱好培养一种群体意识，学生对于助动词和be动词引导的一般疑问句已经能够熟练应用，所以对于can引导的一般疑问句及其回答能够很容易理解和接受，但是他们注意力比较容易分散，这就需要老师设置新颖多样的课堂活动来吸引学生的注意力。
3重点难点
(一)教学重点(Teaching imprtant pints)
1、熟练拼写和运用guitar, chess, jin, draw, dance, speak, swim, sing, can’t=can nt
2、掌握情态动词can的肯定句和否定句,一般疑问句及肯定,否定回答。
(二)教学难点(Teaching difficult pints)
1、使用情态动词can表示能力。
2、把情态动词can有机融入情景教学中。

4.1 第一学时
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Step 1. Warming－up
Greet the students as usual and ask several students if they like dancing ,singing , r speaking English .They may answer “Yes ,we d r N , we dn’t.”
(设计意图:鼓励学生谈论兴趣爱好,为接下来的谈论自己的能力奠定基础。)
活动2【活动】 Step 2 lead-in
play a guessing game.
Stand up and answer questins with “Yes , I can .”And then let the students ask the teacher any questin with “Can yu ”The teacher answers . Then teach them the pattern: Can yu play sccer? Yes, I can. / N, I can’t.
(设计意图:通过对老师能力的猜测与询问，能够激发学生的兴趣和英语思维，简捷有效的导入新课。先听说，再模仿，然后固化，自然习得新的句型，体现学习过程是学生自我构建、自我生产，知识由内而外的生长，而不是由外而内的灌输。)
活动3【讲授】Step 3. Presentatin
Ask students what they can d ,lead the students t learn the new wrds and phrases such as “ play the drum, play the guitar, sing, dance, draw, speak English.” Play a guessing game t review the phrases and finish 1a.
通过询问能力,引导他们掌握本节课的重点词汇。
(设计意图是:引导学生在情境中理解记忆,可以让学习更加愉悦和高效。在单词讲解中调动学生的多种感官。以便学生能够通过图片及教师的动作,语音语调来理解记忆。在完成学习目标的同时,活跃了课堂气氛提高了课堂效率,巩固本课重点。)
活动4【活动】Step 4.listening
Listen t the tape and finish 1b.
听力训练,检测刚学的内容。
活动5【活动】Step 5. Shw yurself
Shw sme pictures t them and ask them t d pairwrk.
The students talk abut their abilities, eg. A: Can yu sing？ B:N, I can’t. A:What can yu d ?B: I can … ,but I can’t … well.
运用所学句型互相询问对方会做的事及不会做的事,展示自己, 增进同学之间的了解。同时意识到自己的不足。
(设计意图:使学生积极主动投入到学习语言的实践中去，在实践中提高语言的综合运用能力，加深对所学知识的分析和记忆，同时也为介绍What club d yu want t jin ? I want t jin the ... club.做铺垫)
活动6【活动】Step 6. Let’s chant and d the chain wrk
Shw sme clubs t them, and lead them t talk abut the club they want t jin .
The students read the cntent with music ,pay attentin t the rhythm .
(设计意图:根据七年级学生心里及年龄特点，吸引他们的兴趣，使之身心放松，在快乐愉悦的氛围中掌握知识，同时也激起他们对英语学习的热爱。)
活动7【活动】Step 7. Listening
Play the recrding fr the students t listen and find ut the answers.
Ask them t circle the clubs and cmplete the sentences. Let them catch the key wrds . After listening, check the answers with the whle class.
(设计意图:培养学生听说能力，先输入后输出，启发思维，让学生探索，在探索中发现规律，解答问题。)
活动8【活动】Step 8. Club interview
I knw there are fur clubs in ur class. First ,I will chse fur club leaders .
Other students can jin the club accrding t yur abilities and yur interests .

活动9【活动及练习】Step 9. Enjy the vide and d exercises
(设计意图:通过视频及其相应的练习， 使学生巩固所学知识，更是对学生进行德育渗透，使学生明白成功并不取决于你是谁，而取决于你做什么，取决于顽强的意志力。引导学生掌握谚语：有志者事竟成。)
Step 10. Summary.
In this class, we have learnt hw t use “can” and hw t make questins with “can” and hw t answer the questins. And we have talked abut what we can d and what club we want t jin. In this class, we are very happy .

Write smething abut yur family members what they can d and they can’t d .
