冠词，是一种虚词，它置于名词前，帮助说明名词的含义。冠词本身不能单独使用，在句中不重读。 冠词分为不定冠词(a,an)和定冠词(the)两种。
1. 不定冠词 a(an)是不定冠词，a用在以辅音音素开头的单词前，如：a rad, a by; an用在以元音音素开头的单词前，如：an ld man, an hur等。不定冠词只用于可数名词的单数前。(1) 指人或事物的某一种类。 China is a very interesting cuntry. It’s an actin mvie.(2) 指某人或某物，但不具体说明何人何物。 Is there a bank near here? I fund a by crying in the crner.(3) 表示“一”这个数量，但数的概念没有ne强烈。 I have a muth, a nse, tw eyes and tw ears.(4) 用于某些固定词组中。 a few, a little, a lt f.
2. 定冠词 the是定冠词，可数名词的单数、复数及不可数名词前均可使用定冠词。(1) 特指某(些)人或某(些)事物。 Shw me the pht f yur family. The bk n the desk is mine.(2) 指双方都知道的人或事物。 Lk at the blackbard, Jim.(3) 指上文提过的人或事物。 There is a bike under the tree. The bike is Lucy’s.(4) 用在世界上独一无二的事物前。 The sun is bigger than the mn.
(5) 用在序数词和形容词最高级前。 In the first pht, I’m playing basketball at schl. What’s the best radi statin?(6) 用在由普通名词构成的专有名词前。 the Great Wall, the Palace Museum.(7) 用在乐器名称前。 play the guitar, play the pian, play the drums.(8) 用在姓氏的复数形式前，表示一家人或夫妇二人。 the Greens, the Taylrs.(9) 用在某些形容词前，表示一类人或事物。 the ld, the sick, the pr.(10) 用在一些习惯用语中。 in the mrning, n the left, the day befre yesterday.
3.不用冠词的情况(1) 在某些专有名词和不可数名词前。 China, Jackie Chan, Class 1, salad, milk.(2) 名词前已有作定语的this, that, my, yur, sme, any, each, every等代词。 This bk is bring. Hw much is yur sweater?(3) 复数名词表示一类人或事物时。 He likes elephants. She likes bananas.(4) 在星期、月份、季节、节日前。 n Sunday, in September, in summer, n Children’s Day.
(5) 在称呼语、头衔和职务等名称前。 Mr. Green, Miss Li, President Xi, Dctr Wang.(6) 在一日三餐前。 She likes hamburgers and milk fr breakfast.(7) 在球类运动的名称前。 play basketball, play tennis, play chess.(8) 在某些固定词组中。 at hme, at schl, at nn, after schl, by bike, in time, n time.
