Ⅰ．Class Opening Sing a song: Singing our country. Do you know why do we listen to this song? That's right .Today we'll talk about our country, China. Ⅱ．New Concepts 1．Show a map of China and ask some questions: （1）What city is it? (Point to the star on the map.) （2）What's the capital (city) of China? （3）What do you know about Beijing? (Maybe students can't say anything in English. Tell them Chinese is OK.) 2．What do you know about China? Listen and fill in the chart.
3．Listen and read. What else do you know about China? Play the audiotape for Part2 of the text. Ask the class to listen first and then to read aloud with the audiotape. Play the audiotape twice. 4．Show some pictures on the screen. (What's it? Can you describe it using easy English?) Picture1: China's flag Picture2: the Palace Museum Picture3: the Great Wall Picture4: a lovely panda 5．Language Points Explain some Language points in this lesson. 6．language （1）else （2）know about （3）speak Ⅲ．Consolidation 1．Do the role-play. 2．Work in groups.
