    教学内容:本节课是阅读课,阅读材料是两封信,内容主要是一个学生描述自己在家和学校要遵守很多规章制度和规定,而另一封内容则是别人想办法开导他。

    三维教学目标

    知识目标

    1. 学生能够理解新单词,短语的意思,掌握它们的用法。

    单词:dirty, kitchen, more, noisy, relax, read, terrible, feel, strict, remember, follow, luck

    短语: make ones bed, be strict with sb, follow the rules,

         think about  sth,make rules,  good luck

    2.学生能够读文章,理解文章的主题思想,能获取细节信息。

    能力目标

    1.同学能掌握和运用英语文章的阅读技巧。

    2.同学能通过课堂的阅读活动提高英语阅读能力。

    情感目标

    通过阅读这些内容,学生们能学会排解自己日常生活中的压力

    教学重难点

    1. 帮助同学们读懂文章的内容,理解主题思想
    2. 帮助同学们理解掌握新单词,短语和句型的意思和用法。

    难点

    如何让学生们积极的参与讨论并表达自己的观点。

    主要教学步骤

    Step 1: Lead-in

    (1)   At the beginning of the class, greet the class with a smile.

    (2)the teacher will show some signs of some rules, such as No smoking, No parking, etc. Ask students These are some rules. Can you see them in our school? What other rule signs have you seen in our school? What  do these signs tell us? Talk about these questions.

    After 3 minutes, some students will be invited to share their views. The teacher will give comments on their ideas.

    Step2:Pre-reading

    Ask students to think about this question:When you are unhappy about something, who do you like to talk to?

    3 minutes will be given to think of it. Then two students will be invited to answer the question.

    Ask students to predict the topic of the two letters according to these key words: I can .../I can't .../help me.

    Step3:While-reading

    Fast reading

    (1)Ask students to read the two letters quickly to get the main idea and underline these words, phrases and sentences they don't know. Then let  them check their predictions.

    (2)   Ask students to underline the rules for Molly.

    The teacher explains the meaning and usage of these new words, phrases and sentences. The teacher must ensure that all students can understand and master them. Then invite some students to talk about the topic of this passage.

    Careful reading:

    (1)   Read the two letters, then answer these questions:

    1. Why is Molly Brown unhappy?

    2. Can Molly Brown play basketball after school?

    3. What do Dr.Know think Molly can do?

    4.Why are parents and schools sometimes strict with us

    Students have 10 minutes to read carefully, then some of them will be invited to answer these questions, and the teacher will give the answers.

    (2)Ask students to look at the sentences in 3c, and read the passage again, After reading, complete the sentences with have to/ must, can or can't.

    Then check the answers.

    Step4:Post-reading

    Divide the students into groups and ask them to discuss whether all the rules are reasonable and give their reasons. After the discussion, invite several groups to share their views for the whole class. The teacher will give evaluation on every view.

    Important sentences

    Molly can't play basketball on school days, but she can play it on weekends.

    Molly must/have to do her homework first when she gets home.

    课堂小结:

      In this period, we have learned how to read letters. We also learned some new words, phrases and important sentences.

    家庭作业:

    Copy and read these new words, phrases and important sentences five times learned in this lesson.

    Retell the two letters with your classmates.
