    Step 1: Warm-up &Revisin &Lead-in
    1. Greetings.
    2. Play a game.
    The teacher plays the bmb game with students t review the expressins f dates.
    3. Lead-in.
    The teacher plays three different sngs (Jingle Bells/Happy New Year!/ Happy Birthday!). Students listen t the sngs. (出示课件)

    Students talk abut their family members’ birthdays freely.
    T: Nw please talk abut yur family members’ birthdays with yur partners.
    Make a cmpetitin between bys and girls.
    Step 2: Presentatin
    1. Talk abut their mthers’ birthdays.
    T: When is yur mther’s birthday?
    Ss: …
    T: What will yu d fr yur mum?

    2. Practise the dialgue.
    Students try t make dialgues in pairs.
    3. Listen and circle.
    The teacher plays the recrding. Let students listen t the recrding and finish the task.
    T: Nw listen t the dialgue and circle the right answer, please!

    T: Chen Jie cks ndles fr her mum, because they are Chinese. Chinese peple usually eat lng ndles n their birthdays. Lng ndles symblize lngevity. Peple in Western cuntries usually have a birthday party and eat a birthday cake tgether n their birthdays.

    1. Practise the dates.
    Use the calendar cards t practise the dates.
    Shw the calendar cards. Let students pass them n ne by ne. Students read ut the dates n the cards quickly.
    2. Ask and answer.
    The teacher asks the questins at first. Then students cntinue the cnversatin ne by ne.

    Reprt like this:
