The main content of this unit

能听懂、会说、会读、会写新单词line, morning exercises, miss, fun, break time and study hard
Sentences句型:掌握句型:“……school starts at….” “……school finishes at….”
2.Language skills语言技能:能理解、朗读课文;能通过阅读课文抓住主要信息。
3.Attitudes to learning 情感态度:积极向上,自我激励,团结合作,学习自信心。
4.Learning Strategies学习策略:合作学习。
【学情分析】
学生对于学校生活这一话题比较感兴趣,话题中的信息易于理解,但牵涉到一些新的词汇,给学生的表达加大了一定的难度。
【第一课时】
【教学目标】
1.知识目标:能听懂、会说词组sit around tables, sit in lines, sing songs, do morning exercises, school starts at …, school finishes at…
2.能力目标:学习运用阅读策略:略读(整体感知)-精读(了解大意)-细读(掌握细节)。
3.情感目标:(1)关注学生在学习过程中的情感体验,通过相互合作,培养学生的自信、乐观的个性和积极学习的态度。
(2)引导学生形成勇于体验、实践、参与以及合作的学习方式。
(3)通过阅读课文了解相关中西文化差异,增长见识,了解世界.

正确表达时间,并通过对比理解课文的意思,并能复述课文。

Step 1 Warming up (热身活动)
Greetings
T: Hello, children, are you ready for class?
T lets students practice an activity: Look and say
T: First, let’s do some warming up. Look and say, ok?
Then T leads Ss to read the phrases.
T: well, please read after me. stand up, sit down, read books, sing songs, take photos
(此部分让学生对所学过的部分与本课文相关的词组进行复习热身。)
Step 2 Presentation (呈现)
1. Free talk
T: Boys and girls, do you like taking photos? I’ve got some photos, please look. Oh, it’s our School. We study here. What time does our school start\finish? (由自己学校图片引入讨论,激发学生的求知欲。)
T: Ok, thank you for telling me this. Generally speaking, in China, we start school at 8 o’clock and finish at 4 o’clock.
T: Ok, please read after me. In China, we start school at 8 o’clock and finish at 4 o’clock. (教师很自然地引出话题中的两个知识点。)
2. Read and answer (进入课文学习阶段,教师渗透阅读技巧,指导学生阅读课文。)
T: Well, it’s about school life in China, how about school life in England? Look, this is a letter. Who writes the letter and to whom? Let’s read and answer, ok?
T: Now, please open your books, please read the text and answer the questions.
Ss read the text again and answer some questions.
T: What time does school start/finish in England?
Ss read paragraph 3 and lets Ss know the meaning of the new words: exercise, line, miss
Ss read the text, then identify that it is England or China
T: Well, please read the text again, and then let’s play a game.
T: Ok, stop. Let’s play quick response. I say the statements, you say England or China.
3.Listen, point and repeat (跟磁带朗读课文,再次整体熟悉课文内容。)
T: Wonderful! Boys and girls. Now, let’s learn more about the text. Please show your fingers. Let’s listen and repeat.
Step 3 Practice (操练)
1. Fill in the blanks by pair work
T: Well, I believe you’re very familiar with this text. Now, please discuss and try to fill in the blanks.
2. Retell the text with the teacher
T: Good job, boys and girls. Now, please retell the text with me, ok?
Step 4 Extension (拓展)
T: Well done, kids. I’ve got a letter from Sam. Let’s have a look, ok? Please take out the letter, and read it quickly. Then let’s do some exercises.
Reading material: a letter from Sam to Chinese friends about Sam’s daily life.

Step 5 Homework (家庭作业)
