四、教学过程:
1、利用卡通故事,切入话题
教师可以播放四年级上册Unit5 Cartoon time的动画,让学生再读故事,然后进行问答活动,引入新句型和目标词汇。必要的时候,教师可以用身体语言或表情图片,表达目标形容词。如:
T: What’s the matter with the little bird?(做开心表情)Is he happy?
Ss: No, he isn’t.
T:(做不开心表情)Is he sad?
Ss: Yes, he is.
T: (做口渴表情)Is he thirsty?
Ss: No, he isn’t.
T: (手捂肚子,做饥饿状)Is he hungry?
Ss: Yes, he is. He’s hungry.
T: What’s the matter with the bird?
Ss: He’s hungry.
3、 快速反应游戏,复习食物类词汇
教师可以借助多媒体或单词卡片,要求学生快速说单词,复习已学过的食品类单词hamburger, milk, juice, cake, pie, coffee, tea, hot dog, sandwich等。教师要提醒学生表达时注意名词的单复数形式。如:
T: What’s this?
Ss: It’s a pie.
T: What are these?
Ss: They’re hot dogs.
T: What about these?
Ss: It’s a glass of juice.

4、 借助饮料和食物的实物,教授新句型和目标词汇
教师可以准备一杯水和几块饼干,走向学生,询问对方是否饥渴,教目标词汇hungry, thirsty.如:
T: Here’s a cup of water. Would you like it?
S1: Yes, thank you.
T: Look. He’s drinking the water. He’s thirsty. What’s the matter with him?
Ss: He’s thirsty.
T: I have some biscuits. Would you like a biscuit?
S2: No, thank you.
T: Ok. She’s not hungry.
