1. Warm-up and revisin(课堂热身和复习)
(1)Test Ss and review hw t read these times.

What time is it?/What’s the time?
(2) Shw a clck, and ask what time it is.【教学设计说明】通过复习时间的表达法,自然引出本节课重点单词quarter的用法,以及a.m. 和p.m. 的用法。
2. Presentatin (呈现新知识)
(1)Shw the new wrd.
a quarter = 15
12:15 a quarter past twelve 10:45 a quarter t eleven
3:15 a quarter past three 6:45 a quarter t seven
9:45 a quarter t ten
(2) Practice using quarter, half past and ’clck.
T: Ask and answer. What time d yu usually get up?
S1: I usually get up at a quarter past six.
T: What time d yu usually eat breakfast?
S2: I usually eat breakfast at half past seven
T: What time d yu usually g t schl?
S3: I usually g t schl at eight ’clck.
(3). Shw the new wrds: a.m. and p.m. Help students t say the time using a.m. and p.m.
6:30 a.m. half past six in the mrning
3:15 p.m. a quarter past three in the afternn
6:45 p.m. a quarter t seven in the evening
9:45 p.m. a quarter t ten in the evening
【教学设计说明】本环节主要帮助学生学会使用quarter和a.m.、p.m.的用法。因此如果时间充裕可以尽可能等多的利用实物钟多多练习。

(3) Rle-play. Have sme pairs present their cnversatins t the class.
【教学设计说明】本部分听力练习旨在锻炼学生提取细节信息的能力。1c要求学生听出表示日常行为的短语。而1d要求学生准确听出做每件事的具体时间。
