    The Grand Canyn.
    It was raining.

    A great wnder f the natural wrld When I arrived, it was early mrning and it was raining. I lked t the east – the sky was becming grey. I gt ut f the car, went thrugh a gate and walked alng a dark path. There was nthing t see, but I knew it was there. After abut a mile, a stranger appeared beside the path. “Am I ging the right way?” I asked. He knew where I was ging. “Yes,” he replied, “yu’ll get there in five minutes.” Finally, I came t sme rcks and stpped. I lked ver them, but it was silent and there was n sign f it.

    Suddenly, the rain stpped and the cluds cleared. The sun rse behind me and shne n the rcks. Far belw me, the grund fell away and dwn t a river. I was lking crss ne f the wnders f the natural wrld - the Grand Canyn. I lked dwn t the Clrad River, a silver stream nearly ne mile belw me. If yu put the tw tallest buildings in the wrld n tp f each ther at the bttm f the canyn, they still wuld nt reach the tp. Then I lked acrss t the ther side f the canyn. It was abut fifteen miles away, maybe mre. Finally, I lked t my left and t my right, and n bth sides the canyn went far away fr mre than 200 miles. The Grand Canyn was nt just big. It was huge!
    I remained by the canyn fr abut half an hur, and I asked myself, “Is the Grand Canyn the greatest wnder f the natural wrld?” I certainly knw the answer. What d yu think?
