    Frm abve examples, we can find these adverbial clauses are mitting sentences. The subjects and the predicates f the clauses are the passive relatinship.
    Smetimes, The subjects and the predicates f the clauses are nt the passive relatinship, but they are just fixed cllcatin. Such as:
    be lst in, be based n, be devted t, be lcated/situated in/n…, be wrried abut, be tired f, be dressed in, be satisfied with, be faced with, etc.

    The subjects between the main sentence and the clause are the same, s we can mit the cnjunctin and be. They bth can be used as adverbial clauses.

    The present participle(-ing) means that the subject can cnvey the actin f the predicate in the clause. The past participle(-ed) means that the subject can nt cnvey the actin f the predicate in the clause, but is the receiver f the actin f the predicate in the clause, that is, “V +O”( predicate +bject).
