宾语从句(二) 由特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句
宾语从句是特殊疑问句时,直接用特殊疑问句词作引导词。连接代词(wh, whm, whse, what, which)和连接副词(when, where, why, hw)在宾语从句中充当某个成分(主语、宾语、定语、状语等。)在学习这类宾语从句时,要特别注意以下几点:
1.宾语从句的语序
不管哪类宾语从句,总是用陈述语序,即“连接词+主语+谓语+其他”。当连词本身就是从句的主语时,后面直接跟谓语和宾语。 Culd yu tell me where I can buy sme magazines? 你能告诉我在哪儿可以买到一些杂志吗? He asks me when I’ll cme back tmrrw. 他问我明天什么时候返回。
2.宾语从句的时态
(1)若主句的时态是一般现在时,从句的时态不受影响。 Nbdy knws where he cmes frm 没人知道他来自哪里。
(2)若主句的时态是一般过去时,宾语从句则用相应的过去时态(一般过去时、过去进行时、进去将来时或过去完成时)。 I asked him when he wuld return the bk t the library. 我问他何时把书还给图书馆。
(3)宾语从句陈述的是客观真理,则从句用一般现在时 Our teacher tld us that light travels faster than sund. 我们的老师告诉我们光比声音传播得快。
3宾语从句与简单句的相互转化
(1)由特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句,当主句的主语和从句的主语一致时,可转化为“特殊疑问词+不定式”形式的复合结构。 I dn’t knw what I shuld d next. →I dn’t knw what t d next.
(2)当主句的谓语动词是find, watch, her, see等词时,后面的从句常简化为“宾语+d/ ding”形式。 I see that they are cleaning the classrm. →I see them cleaning the classrm.
(3)当主句的谓语动词为frget, remember等,扣跟that从句,且主句的主语和从句的主语保持一致时,可将宾语从句转化为动名词短语形式。 I frget that I’ve turned ff the light. →I frget turning ff the light.
(4)当主句的谓语动词为hpe, agree, wish 等,且主句的主语和从句的主语保持一致时,后面的that 从句可转化为不定式结构。 He hped he culd help me with my English. →He hped t help me with my English.
