Step 1：Warming up

T：Have you ever visited someone in the hospital?

Ss：Yes，I have visited my friend in the hospital.

T：What do you want to do when you are sick?

Ss：I don’t want to eat anything and just want to sleep.

T：En...When you are sick，you absolutely feel bad. So we should try our best to stay away from the hospital.

设计意图：通过简单的对话导入本课要学习的内容。 



Step 2：Presentation

1.Teacher shows some examples of sick people，and then tells the students the importance of health. Lead in today’s topic：Stay away from hospital. Show the words：appendicitis，appendix，sleepy，mention and teach them.

2.Ask some students to read the text first，and ask the other students to find the fault of his/her，then help them correct.

设计意图：让学生找错误可以集中学生的注意力。

3.Teacher reads the text and asks students to listen carefully. Then explain the meaning of this text.And then let the students underline the main phrases and main sentences of this lesson and try to remember them.

设计意图：通过让同学读课文和教师示范，改善同学们的口语发音。

Step 3：Drill

Read the lesson and answer the questions of Exercise 1 on Page 13.

设计意图：通过学生们反复朗读课文回答问题，同时也锻炼学生们的口语表达能力。

Step 4：Explain the whole text

1.Explain the meaning of the whole text sentence by sentence，help the students remember the main phrases and the main sentences.

设计意图：让学生能抓住文中重点词汇和句型，熟读记忆。

2.Practice.

Do Exercise 2 on Page 13.

设计意图：锻炼学生的思考能力，同时培养学生的语感。
