一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Warming up
T:Do you have any problems between you and your friends?
Ss:Yes,I do.
T:If you have a problem with a friend,what do you usually do?
Ss:If it’s my fault,I usually say sorry to her/him,but if it isn’t my fault,I won’t talk to her until she apologizes to me.
T:OK,I advise you not to be so strict.Friends shouldn’t be like this.You should have a good talk and try to solve the problems.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Presentation
1.Teacher shows the word cards and each card with a picture stands for the word we are going to learn:figure,directly, misunderstanding.Ask the students come to the front to touch the right card when you read a word and then explain the meanings and the usages of these words.Make sentences with the words and explain the meanings.
2.Give the students five minutes to remember the words. And then the teacher pick out one of them.Let students spell and read them one by one.
3.The students read the text by themselves.Give the students several minutes to remember the text,then find out the main phrases and sentences in the text.
4.Read the lesson again and answer the questions.
(I)What has happened to the Lost Girl?
(2)What are Sue’s suggestions if a friend wants to end the friendship?
5.Review the main language points of this unit:Attributive clauses.
三、布置作业
Write a letter to Sue and tell her what’s the relationship between you and your friends.If there is something wrong,ask for her advise.
