2.让学生了解一些介绍自己街区内人物的句式。
1.掌握一些与介绍人物活动有关的词汇:fix,work,cut,make,get
2.激发学生兴趣,让学生了解介绍人物活动的方法。
掌握以下重点句子:
①Our teacher asked us to interview people about their jobs.
②Mr.Green likes being a tailor.
③It was warm inside and full of yummy treats.
④I learned a lot about the people in my neighbourhood.
Step 1 Lead-in
Show the pictures to the students.Let them guess:
1.What is the man in the first picture doing?
2.What does a baker do?
Let the students answer the questions in class.
Step 2 Listening
Listen to the text and fill in the blanks with the correct words you hear.
1.Our teacher asked us to________people with different jobs.
2.Mr.Green was busy________a pair of pants when he________my questions.
3.All the people in the neighbourhood were________.
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 3 Reading
Read the passage and decide if the following statements are true or false.
1.Our exciting job was finding people with different jobs.
2.Mr.Green was too busy to answer my questions.
3.I visited four places after the tailor’s shop and the bakery shop.
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 4 Practice
Work in groups.Practice the text.Then present it in front of the class.When the students act,they can use their own words.
Read the text again and find more questions about this text.
S1:What did I do before going for a walk down the shopping street?
S2:How were the old lady’s pants?
S3:What was filled with the bakery shop?
Step 5 Activities
Suppose you want to write a short passage about your neighbourhood.You don’t know what to say.How can you do?Ask your classmates for advice.
Finish the task in groups.Then after a few minutes,let some students read their passages in front of the class.
Step 6 Come to “Let’s Do It!”
Read the passage and finish off Exercise 1—2.
Work in pairs and talk about someone in your neighbourhood.
Finish off Exercise 3 in “Let’s Do It!”.
