    教学过程
    Step 1.
    Intrduce tday’s tpic. Let the students answer the fllwing questins:
    1. Why are yu learning English?
    2. D yu think it’s easy t learn English well?
    3. Which is easier, Chinese r English?
    4. What’s the best way t learn English?
    Let the students discuss the questins in grups. Then give a reprt t the class.
    Step 2.
    Let’s learn the wrds frm the tape. Listen t the wrds in this lessn fr several times. Ask the students read after it and imitate. Ask sme students read the wrds ludly in class.
    Step 3. Listen t the tape again and answer the fllwing questins:
    1. What is Alicia’s gd news?
    2. Hw des Ms. Bell help Alicia with her English?
    3. What did Alicia win?
    4. Hw lng will Alicia stay in Canada?
    Step4.
    Read the text silently and check the answers. Then let the students read the text in class. After a while, ask sme students t read the text in frnt f the class.
    Step5. Retell the stry, but remember nt t wrd fr wrd.
    Step6. Cme t “LET’S DO IT!”
    In a small grup, talk abut why it is imprtant t learn English. Make a pster abut the imprtance f English and display it in yur classrm.
    Hmewrk:
    1. Finish ff the activity bk.
