Lesson 24 How Was Your Weekend?

1. How was your weekend?你的周末过得怎么样？

  -----It was +adj.  It was good/great/terrible.

  How 疑问副词，意为“怎样”，常用来构成特殊疑问句，提出意见、打算、程度、方式、手段等

 Eg.1) -----How do you usually go to school?

 -----By bike./I usually go to school by bike./

I usually ride my bike to school.

2)   ---- How do you like China? =

What do you think of/about China?

 ------I like it very much.

Mountain climbing 是动名词，

动名词做主语谓语动词用单三。

take a/the+交通工具：表示交通方式 是谓语，位于主语之后

by +交通工具：是介词短语，放在句尾；也可以单独使用。

on+大型交通工具

in+小型交通工作 

 I want to travel by bus/boat/train/car/taxi/bike

                          on a/the bus/train/boat/ship

                           in one's car/in a taxi

                           on one's /the bike

注意区分：by +交通工具 和take a/the +交通工具

He took a train to Beijing.

=He went to Beijing by train.

=He went to Beijing on a train.

 be away from  离...远

距离表达方式：

A is +时间/距离（away ）from .B.. 从......到.......有多长时间/距离.

Tangshan is three hours（away）from Beijing.

 唐山到北京是3个小时的路程。

My home is 10 minutes’ walk away from my school.

A is +距离away.   A的距离是...远

Beijing is 200 kilometers away. 北京有200千米远。

The bookstore is two bus stops away. 书店是2站地远。

My school is 5 kiloometres away.

It is+距离from A to B     从A 到B 的距离是...

It is 5 kilometers from my home to the shopping mall.

It is 200 kilometers from Tangshan to Beijing.

询问距离：

How far is it from A to B?”

Eg:--How far is it from Beijing to Tangshan?

--It’s 3000 kilometers.

--It’s 3 hours’ drive.

How far is A (away) from B?

--How far is Beijing (away) from Tangshan?

 --Beijing is 200kilometers away from Tangshan.

或--Beijing is200 kilometers away.

11. My uncle is going to bring his camera and I am going to bring some donuts for everybody.

  1) bring:带来；从某处把人或物带到说话者所在的地点

bring sth/sb to sb/sp

  2) take：拿走，带走：从说话人或说话人心目中所在处把某人或某物带离开。

         take sb/sth to sp 带某人去某地

   bring 和take 的方向正好相反。

3)   carry: 搬，抬，扛，运（人运送；马、车等牲口或运输工具运送）； 没有方向性。  搬重物

4)   get：去拿来，从说话地出发去某地拿东西再返回来。
