We spend a third f ur adult lives wrking and anther big part preparing fr ur careers. Histrically, wrk was rarely seen as a surce f meaning and purpse. during the vast majrity f ur 300, 000 year human evlutin(进化), wrk was in fact pretty simple. We wrked t eat and avid being eaten. Similarly, the idea that we ught t bring ur “whle self” t wrk is a pretty nvel and recent frm f career advice. Its rigins can be traced t William Kahn wh invented the cncept f emplyee engagement 30 years ag. His pint is that emplyees differ in the degree t which they identify with their wrk rle. A. T help us find meaning at wrk.
B. T prve that the idea is mdern.
C. T shw us the bad ld days.
D. T cmplain abut the experience.
14. Which f the fllwing might William Kahn agree with?
A. Emplyees have different understandings f their wrk rle.
B. Every emplyee must bring their whle self t wrk.
C. T be devted t wrk is a pretty nvel idea.
D. Wrkers’ cre identity is built n art categries.
