    Befre we begin ur jurney, let’s learn abut this amazing railway. It’s truly ne f the great engineering wnders f the 21st century. When it was cmpleted n July 1, 2006, the Tibet Railway set nine wrld recrds, including the wrld’s highest railway at 5,072 metres abve sea level, the wrld’s highest tunnel(隧道)at 4,905 metres, and the lngest tunnel ever built n permafrst(冻土).
    As we travel higher, the air gets thinner and thinner. Sn there will nly be 50 t 60 percent f the xygen which we are used t breathing. But dn’t be afraid. Each rail car has tw separate xygen systems. One system spreads xygen thrughut the train at all times. And each passenger can als get a persnal xygen mask just like thse used in planes.
    Here are a few mre things t think abut as ur train leaves the statin. The designers slved three main challenges when building this great railway. First, the high altitude(海拔)made the task difficult because there was n enugh xygen. Secnd, much f the railway runs acrss permafrst, a type f grund that keeps changing as the weather warms and cls.     “N,” he said calmly, “yu didn’t fail. Yu discvered smething.”
    “I did?” I asked.
    “Yes, yu discvered that big dreams dn’t just cme true. They take wrk. If yu train and wrk hard, I prmise t wait fr yu next year and cheer yu n.”
    I trained every day, running miles and miles. Sadly, just tw mnths int my training, Grandpa died. He wuldn’t be waiting fr my secnd Bstn Marathn. I decided I’d run fr him.
    That day, I ran fast. “Keep ging! Yu can d it!” His wrds filled my head as I frced my legs t make each painful step. As I crssed the finish line, I threw my arms in the air and cried, “Grandpa, we did it!”
