I though可用于even though，as though等结构，although则不能。如： You look as though(= as if) you know each other. 看起来你们好像彼此认识， 4．though常用于省略句。如： Though( he is) alone, he is happy. 虽然他一个人，他很开心。B、so. that和such. that的使用so.…that和such.…that这两个结构中that引导的分句都是结果状语从句，意思都是“（如此……）以至……”。由于其前的so是副词，such是形容词，因此这两个句型在构成上也有一定的差异。 so. that用法 so…that…引导三种不同的句子结构： 1．so+形容词／副词+that从句。如： He did so well in the examination that everyone praised him.他考得那么好，人人都称赞他。 2．so+形容词+a(n)十单数名词+ that从句。如： It was so good an exhibition that l went to see it several times．展览是那么好，结果我就去看了好几次。 3．so+ many/much/few/little+名词+that从句。如： I've had so many falls that I'm black and blue all over.我跌了那么多跤，全身跌得青一块，紫一块的。 such. that用法 such.…that…引导两种不同的句子结构： 1．such +a(n)+形容词+单数名词+that从句。如： It was such an interesting film that I saw it twice. 这是一部很有意思的电影，我看了两次。 2．such+形容词+复数名词／不可数名词+that从句。 so. that和such. that的转化 她非常诚实，大家都信赖她。 She is so honest that everybody trusts her. →She is such an honest girl that everybody trusts her.→She is so honest a girl that everybody trusts her.C、 so that的使用 目的从句表示动机（即一种可能性），并非事实，只是想要达到某个结果的意愿，因而从句中多用假定性的谓语动词。常有can，many，will，could，might，would，should等情态动词。情态动词本身并无词汇意义，只是一种虚拟用法。结果从句表示客观事实，所以用陈述语气的谓语动词，从句中常无情态动词。如：I always write so carefully that I may make my meaning clear．我写作总是字斟句酌，是为了让人看懂我的意思。1. dream的用法In your dreams，Eddie. 你做梦，埃迪。解析：dream是可数名词，意为“梦，梦想”；in your dreams意为“你做梦，你妄想”，是固定搭配。His dream is to be a football player.他的梦想是成为一名歌手。拓展：dream vi.&. vt. 梦想，做梦。I dreamed that he was on the bus.我梦见了他在公交车上。【固定搭配】：have a dream 做梦；dream of/ about 梦想，梦见。2. insist 的用法/role的用法Colette insisted that Hepburn was the perfect girl for the lead role in Gigi …科莱特坚持赫本是该戏主角的完美人选。。。解析：insist 是及物动词，意为“坚持，坚持认为”。例：Kitty insisted that she had seen the ghost.基蒂坚持说她看见了鬼。【固定搭配】：insist on（doing）sth 坚持（做）某事。You should insist on practising speaking English.你应该坚持练习说英语。role意为“角色”，是可数名词。 play a/the role in 在……中扮演角色。He has just played a role in their latest production.他刚刚在他们最新的作品中扮演了一个角色。【固定搭配】：play the role of 扮演……的角色；play the lead role in 在……中扮演主角；play an important role 扮演重要的角色，起重要的作用。3. beyond的用法Hepburn's achievements went beyond the film industry.赫本的成就不仅限于电影业。解析：beyond是介词，意为“超出，除…之外”。Her success was beyond what she thought.她的成功超出了她的想象。拓展：（1）beyond表示“在……（方向）较远的一边”。He lives beyond the hill. 他住在小山的那边。（2）beyond 还可以表示“晚于；迟于”。It won't go on beyond midnight. 这事不会延续到午夜以后。4. effort的用法She won many awards because of her efforts in this area.因为她在这一领域的努力，她获得了许多奖项。解析：effort是可数名词，意为“努力”。He lifted up the stone without effort.他毫不费力地举起了这块石头。【注意】effort是名词，意为“努力”，而hard做副词，意为“努力地”。5. pass away 的用法On 20 January 1993，she passed away peacefully in her sleep. 1993年1月20日，她在睡梦中安然辞世。解析：pass away 意为“去世，已故”，是一种委婉的说法。His grandfather passed away last year.他的爷爷去年去世了。【拓展】：6. play 的用法Colette insisted that Hepburn was the perfect girl for the lead role in the play ...科莱特坚持赫本是担任这部剧主角的最佳人选……解析：play在这里是可数名词，意为“游戏；戏剧”。All work and no play is no fun. 只工作，不娱乐，不会使人开心。How did you enjoy the TV play?你喜欢那部电视剧吗?【拓展】：play vt. 打（球），踢（球），演奏，扮演； vi. 玩，玩耍play with sb 和某人玩耍；play with sth 玩弄某；player n. 运动员，选手，是可数名词。例：Look!
