T use VR in the classrm, yu need tw things: a smartphne that can dwnlad the app r vide, and a headset. T find the actual vides we’d be watching, I searched thrugh free VR apps like Orbulus, Trench Experience VR and Cardbard. I als fund hundreds f vides n YuTube. The key is t find vides made with the 360 cameras. While they dn’t give the kids a 3-D experience like the apps, they are still amazingly immersive (沉浸式虚拟现实的) when viewed thrugh the headsets.
S far we’ve had three lessns. I first used the headsets with my seventh grade U. S. Histry class. The Trench app allws students t “walk” thrugh a trench (战壕) during Wrld War Ⅰ and learn abut many f the tls used during that time. My secnd activity was wrking with the sixth grade Gegraphy class. They used the headsets strictly as viewers t watch a 360 vide taking them thrugh a rcky landscape. My final activity was the mst interesting ne, accrding t the reactins (反应) f my eighth grade Civics students. I was able t find a White Huse 360 tur that was made a few years ag.

As AI becmes ppular, researchers have nticed its influence n the envirnment. Training an AI system requires huge cmputing pwer and electricity, and the resulting CO2 emissins (排放) are ne way AI affects the envirnment. But its envirnmental effect is mre than its carbn (碳)ftprint.
Jesse Ddge, a scientist at the Allen Institute, says, "The influence f Al systems is ging t be frm their applicatins, nt the cst f training them." Just like a hammer which can either destry things r build a huse, Al can hurt r help the envirnment.
In 2019, ExxnMbil, an il cmpany, said it wuld use Micrsft’s app Azure. With the Al technlgy, it wuld increase its prductin and create billins f dllars. This means Micrsft's AI is directly cntributing t greenhuse gas emissins. This is nt the nly AI applicatin that culd be envirnmentally harmful. AI behind the ads that jump ut n Instagram r Facebk pages pushes custmers t spend mre n prducts like clthes. This in turn causes mre emissins thrugh mre prductin and delivery.
But n the ther side f the cin, there are AI applicatins that can help deal with envirnmental prblems, such as the destructin caused by hurricanes. One such applicatin is xView2, a prgram started by a U. S. rganizatin. It can recgnize buildings damaged and peple trapped in natural disasters, reducing danger and saving time fr rescuers.
AI culd be a valuable tl in the fight against climate change—if the Al industry can reduce its harmful climate effects. "Bth AI and climate rules have rles t play." Rlnick says. When creating Al rules, he suggests cnsidering its applicatins, emissins, and ther prductin csts. Further, Ddge adds that thse AI prfessinals shuld help set up sme value systems t limit the technlgy's use.
32. Where des the effect f AI systems n the envirnment cme frm accrding t Ddge?
A. The ppularity f AI.B. The emissins f CO2.
C. The way f applying AI.D. The cst f AI training.
33. Hw des the writer develp Paragraph 4?
A. By listing numbers.B. By giving examples.
C. By cmparing facts.D. By explaining details.
34. What can we infer frm the last paragraph?
A. Rules fr AI can be helpful.B. Al's advance shuld be limited.
C. Prductin csts will be lwer.D. AI plays a rle in making rules.
35. What is the main idea f the passage?
A. AI applicatins are envirnmentally harmful.
B. AI affects the envirnment by CO2 emissins.
C. AI is effective in slving envirnmental prblems.
D. AI's envirnmental effect ges beynd its emissins.
